February 2, 201016 yr Hi,Well, I can't comment or suggest because we have never seen that issue before, even since FSX was released, and NWA thought he found the fix, but has not returned to post yet.
February 2, 201016 yr Jim,I'm getting what appears to be too many clouds on somewhat clear days as seen in the screenshots below of my FSX flight at TNCM. AS6.5 reports just broken cloud at 1,800 ft, but from the looks of the shots, I have more than broken cloud with almost overcast skies. Are my settings in AS6.5 causing this?I'm using REX 2.0 for the cloud and sky textures.
February 2, 201016 yr Thanks for the quick reply, Jim. But that didn't help and I don't know if they're related or not, but I'm still having the issue as NWA has with an almost whiteout at high altitudes. The below shot was taken at 24,000 ft with AS6.5 reported the local weather as overcast at 300 ft. It seems that I have a haze all around the plane whether at low or high altitude. You can see it being made when the AS is refreshed. The below shot is with AS6.5The below shot is with the default FSX weather:
February 2, 201016 yr Hi,Do you have FSUIPC installed in FSX?If Yes, is that set to default settings and Weather settings off?
February 2, 201016 yr I think I resolved the problem. I didn't have Depict FS Haze Layer option turned ON like the FSX compatibility readme says. Once I turned it on, the problem of the haze went away.Sorry for wasting your time, Jim. Your replies were much appreciated.
February 6, 201016 yr I just finally got a chance to address my problem.FSUIPC was running in a non windows 7 64 compatibility mode. How it got like that I have no ideaand was also installed as admin. After numerous installs/removals and various key removals I amhere to say that it appears to have fixed my problem.Jim, in my post of my AS options panel, are the settings correct? I thought I read that "Use System Time" causes an issue? Also is TAF process on or off? Thanks Jim! i9-13900KS | ASUS Z790 Maximus | Lian Li Galahad II Trinity | G-Skill DDR5-7200 CL34 2x16 | Nvidia 4090 FE | Samsung 990 Pro x 2
February 6, 201016 yr Hi,Use system time should be On. TAFs can be on or off. On if you are mostly going to use historical weather.
