Parking brake ground power problems

Featured Replies

I fired up the MD11 today for the first time in a long time and had a number of problems. 1. everytime I went to put the parking brake on it immediately put itself off. I got the power on to the a/c and put the pump on to get some hydrolic pressure, but it did not change the problem. So I checked in the forum and rudder peddles seemed to be a probable cause, so I stated to investigate. As this problem affected all a/c I tested fixes on the 737NG. When that worked (and other a/c) I went back to the MD11. Problem now, the parking brake does not even try to come on and I cant get any power to the a/c. The battery is on but the overhead panel is completely dark. 737s work fine. I have tried deleting the config file, but that did nothing to help.Help, any ideas please?

Regards

Do you have the latest FSUIPC Version installed? Could have somthing to do with the new break release threshhold parameter.

4.xx is for FSX and 3.xx is FS9 I believe.

An update to the problem. The parking brake on the FS9 MD11 still goes to the off state right after it is applied. The parking brake works on all my other FS9 a/c including the PMDG B737NGs.PMDG have suggested it is a rudder pedal problem. However I have the FSX MD11 and the parking brake works OK. This makes me think that it's not my brake pedals.Any ideas please?regardsKeith B.
