Missing call

Featured Replies

For the 737 PIC Voice edition, overall I am very happy with the idea and the flow. Here is a problem I have run into lately and it just kind of started out of the blue. I am thinking that I am not replying correctly . The FA will call me on the taxi to say Cabin is ready for takeoff. I reply Yes and then the FO is supposed to do his next step which is to tell FAs to be seated for departure. My problem is that the FO never does this step. I still call for the before takeoff checklist but the FO does not talk anymore. Then I never hear another word out of the FO, he still does everything but he does not like to talk to me anymore. I have tried different things to say to the FA like "Go ahead", "yes", "thank you". I have tried letting the FO take a lot of time to tell the cabin to be seated. Nothing, he is just mad at me and does not want to talk to me.

Hi,If the FO stops talking, it means you're probably using a saved situation file or you reset your flight after doing another flight. It's an issue I'm looking into.Solution:When making a flight, start Flight Simulator fresh. Load it clean.Do not used saved situation files. To be extra sure, load the Cessna fbefore loading the 737.That'll do the trick.Best,

That did not do the trick. I started out with a Cessna172 at a new airport and gate and still not getting the call from the FO.

In that case, do you have the HS (Headset) option selected, and if so, is your audio device for your headset selected in the FS2Crew Config Panel?Try unselecting the Headset. Also, a lot of the calls are dependent on being in the right mode. You can't, for example, call "takeoff" when the mode is in TAXI.I'd suggest also running the tutorial flight again.Best,

Have you changed the default flight that is visible on the main screen when the sim loads up? Is it the Cessna at Seattle?banner_fs2crew_team_kk.png

Problem solved. I was irritated by the sound of the cockpit and had turned the sound down on the 737PIC control panel. Once turned back up, everything worked as advertised. Thanks for the help.

Upon further review, it was not the volume that fixed it. It turned out that deleting the prior flight and letting FSX start on it's default flight (crazy hang glider thing over somewhere in Washington) is the way that it works. Resetting a saved flight did not fix it, changing location from a saved flight did not work. Just get rid of the idea of ever having a saved flight is the only way I could get this to work. Still very happy with the product as FS2Crew has always had strong products by my opinion.
