March 2, 201016 yr FYI I just entered the following response to getting r/w NAT routes from flightaware.com:From flightaware.com for KBOS-EGLL:LBSTA TOPPS STEAM OYSTR 5500N 05000W 5600N 04000W 5600N 03000W 5600N 02000W PIKIL SOVED REVNU LIFFY UL975 WAL NUGRA AAL156American Airlines "American"Aircraft Boeing 767-300 (twin-jet) (H/B763/Q - track or photos)Origin Boston Logan Intl (KBOS - track or info)Destination London Heathrow (EGLL / LHR - track or info)I did a search under Track Commercial Flight/Don't Know Flight No. I then entered the departure abd destination airports. I then picked an enroute flight.It is important to pick preferably an enroute flight, second a recently arrived flight. A scheduled flight may not yet have filed the route.I then pasted it into FSBuild 2.3 with just a slight modification of coordinates eliminating the space between the N and W coordinate as:KBOS LBSTA TOPPS STEAM OYSTR 5500N05000W 5600N04000W 5600N03000W 5600N02000W PIKIL SOVED REVNU LIFFY UL975 WAL NUGRA EGLLHere's the plan (which includes winds aloft from my last Active Sky 6.5 weather snapshot):[flightplan]title=KBOS to EGLLdescription=KBOS, EGLLtype=IFRroutetype=3cruising_altitude=37000departure_id=KBOS, N42* 21.46', W071* 00.23',+000020.00departure_position=22Rdestination_id=EGLL, N51* 28.39', W000* 27.41',+000083.00departure_name=LOGAN_INTLdestination_name=HEATHROWwaypoint.0=KBOS, A, N42* 21.46', W071* 00.23', +000000.00, waypoint.1=LBSTA, I, N42* 47.59', W070* 36.48', +13000.00, waypoint.2=TOPPS, I, N45* 20.24', W067* 44.19', +35000.00, waypoint.3=STEAM, I, N52* 59.54', W057* 20.29', +37000.00, waypoint.4=OYSTR, I, N53* 52.00', W054* 58.00', +37000.00, waypoint.5=5500N05000W, I, N55* 00.00', W050* 00.00', +37000.00, waypoint.6=5600N04000W, I, N56* 00.00', W040* 00.00', +37000.00, waypoint.7=5600N03000W, I, N56* 00.00', W030* 00.00', +37000.00, waypoint.8=5600N02000W, I, N56* 00.00', W020* 00.00', +37000.00, waypoint.9=PIKIL, I, N56* 00.00', W015* 00.00', +37000.00, waypoint.10=LIFFY, I, N53* 28.47', W005* 30.00', +37000.00, UL975waypoint.11=GINIS, I, N53* 27.38', W004* 51.29', +37000.00, UL975waypoint.12=NATKO, I, N53* 27.11', W004* 38.07', +37000.00, UL975waypoint.13=LYNAS, I, N53* 26.33', W004* 19.59', +37000.00, UL975waypoint.14=ROLEX, I, N53* 25.41', W003* 58.04', +37000.00, UL975waypoint.15=MALUD, I, N53* 24.47', W003* 36.29', +37000.00, UL975waypoint.16=WAL, V, N53* 23.30', W003* 08.03', +37000.00, waypoint.17=NUGRA, I, N53* 01.45', W002* 18.14', +33000.00, waypoint.18=EGLL, A, N51* 28.39', W000* 27.41', +000000.00, - in response to -"I'd like to use a real life & real time flight plan with Long & Lat coordinates for a North Atlantic Track. I normally use FlightAware.com for U.S. flights, but they don't allow for flight info outside the US boundaries. My question: Is there a resource, web site, etc that will provide a realistic flight plan with Long & Lat coordinates???What I need is Longitude & Latitude coordinates for each waypoint across the Atlantic ocean (North Atlantic Tracks). With these I can develop a flight plan for the trip using the Route Editor utility which I use for producing realistic flight plans.With the appropriate Long & Lat coordinates for this flight I can make it as realistic as possible.Thanks for any assistance,Paul"
July 3, 201015 yr I tried to google it (could find it this time) but there used to be a website with a updated wealth of knowlege and stats about all things aviation ACARS/HF/Datalink stuff. I just wish I knew the address for it. It had great stats on the number of ACARS messages downlinked, uplinked, how may had errors, etc etc. It would have been great to provide that info to those interested in this thread.I know the site must be somewhere on the net still :(SubsIf anyone is interested, and for future reference, I came across the website mentioned above. It goes into great detail about Datalink and it's a good read (the bits you can actually understand) ;)http://members.optusnet.com.au/~cjr/There is also a statistics section here: http://members.optusnet.com.au/~cjr/Performance.htmGreat stuff :)Subs
July 3, 201015 yr And while we're at it, here is the website for the AUSOTS flex tracks that Airservices Australia publish daily:http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/custom.../text.asp?ver=1Some of those are even domestic tracks that route over Australia itself rather than remote ocean areas.Subs
