February 3, 201016 yr I had this problem before and joined a thread about it where I learned that it was a key conflict with the FT Embraer. However - even after changing the RC key-combo I still couldnt get it to work with that plane. Now I am driving the MD11 and have removed all possible keyboard command conflicts s from FS9 and the aircraft menu, and, no matter what keys I introduce into RC (and reload FS), I cant get it to work.I have tried Ctrl-Sh + something, Cntl + something, etc etc and nothing works. Believing I had it sorted I prepped KJFK-LSGG only to have to insert another new key combo into RC and restart FS - and I am still without the lovely Otto. And there

February 3, 201016 yr Make sure on both aircraft you have the FMC or equivalent not in keyboard input mode. These will not pass on keystrokes to other add-ons. I don't know Otto's mechanism, that is if he/she emulate keystrokes to control the aircraft. If you are using PMDG's MD-11 or other advanced aircraft that do not use a standard FS interface for aircraft control commands, Otto will not control the aircraft. Otto should only be able to handle comms in these instances. I don't have the FT product so can't speak for that one. I do have the PMDG 737NGs (FS9).The log will tell jd all.
February 4, 201016 yr Author Thank you JD for your trouble and the email response.I am rightly chastised - a stupid mistake on my part - having Auto Reply off indeed.I shall stand in the corner of my coclpit for the next flight.

February 19, 201016 yr Author Unfortunately time has shown that the problem has not yet been solved.I still cant hand the comms over. I am using Cntl Sh x (just a random thing) and it doesnt work. This is in a different aircraft from my original post and I have no keyboard inputs set and no FS9 key conflictAlso I now have to keypress to get the next controller after being given the frequency - even though I have "tune on contact" and "autoreply" on.I spose you want another log. Will do.

February 23, 201016 yr Author maybe ctrl-shift-x is used by another add-on. what was wrong with ctrl-shift-k?Sorry guys, but we.ve been here before. I have already said that I have checked key combinations with the aircraft used at the time and with FS - and there are no conflicts. (I don

February 27, 201016 yr Author Hey JDThe reason I responded in that way is that you are usually so very clearv and precide here at RC and it looked like you really thought those things were the case.I tried yet another key combo with my previous flight parameters and still got no response. Its odd that something is interceptinf EVERY key cobo I choose for that order yet not intercepting anything else.Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and default everything, but at least its only for a cupla minutes. How do reset the RC key definitions?Nicholas
