Started up ASv6.5 about an hour ago to prepare for a flight, and it is hanging on "Calculating Closest WX Stations". Tried several flight plans, with same results. Tried to force primary or force secondary servers with same results. Is something wrong with the current_wx_snapshot.txt" or the download from the servers? Had problems getting TOPCAT program to read weather data from Active Sky as well, and that's just the weather and no route information. Never had this problem before and no system or hardware changes recently. Current weather is showing as 031653Z.Tim

I have had the same thing happen today. I finally left it alone and 20 minutes later it had analyzed all the weather stations. It has never taken this long before.Roy

Still not working correctly here. Can you tell me what the active WX is? 032153Z is on here for Primary and 032253Z on here for secondary server. Shouldn't there be something far more current? Still having the probs doing the "new route" where it hangs at "Calculating Closest WX stations" as well. 032353Z is the most current active wx I can get as of the current time, 040612Z. All issues noted previously still remain. Hope we can get this figured out soon! I'm off to get some rest myself now...Tim

Up to 040353Z (current time 041138Z). No changes. Also, the download of weather from both servers seems a little bit slower than I remember. File size is approx. 365-375 K bytes. Shouldn't it be closer to 400? At least I think it usually was around 400 or just over. I don't know, just trying to notice everything and give as much information as possible. Have checked numerous flightplans that worked fine in the past, in Europe, Asia, and North America, and all show the same issue of ASv6.5 hanging (not responding) on "Calculating Closest Wx Stations", and CPU usage shooting up to 100%.Tim

Mine hanging too when I try to fetch data.

Just tried to download weather for today, 13 hr - 16 hr and got message of incomplete data for all. Tried both servers with the same result.The last few times I have started ASv6 I have gotten some message about stations being updated. This has happened several times recently, downloads being requested, FS not active. Could this have any relation to some of these problems?Roy

Just to add I've experienced this as well over the last few days. AS6.5 is very slow in processing the flightplans, although once it has done that all is fine again.

Same problem here and suddenly I got the fs9.exe put back to default :( Dont know if that has to do wtih the same thing.But AS6.5: 1: very slow calculating routes, 2: cannot download weatherAfter trying to reset the fs9.exe I cannot load a flight. Its getting stopped at 77%: weatherIt only works with the fs9.exe default

Glad to know the problems are not just my own.TimAddendum 1921Z:Just tried loading up AS, it loaded up data over 400Kb (approx. 435Kb), active wx 041753Z. Tried one of the flightplans from yesterday and it loaded up quickly and fine. All data seems ok.

Hi All,We stayed on this and things look to be back, especially the primary server.

There has been no change for me. For a flight plan of 32 points, it took 16.5 minutes to process the flight plan. Normally takes less than a minute. Something is still wrong.I got this message in starting ASv6 this afternoon. "AS has updated your FS wx station list. Please restart FS if already running so new stations can be accessed appropriately." I get this every 2 - 3 days. Never remember seeing this before. Can this have anyting to do with the problem?Roy
