How do you extend the range...

Hey Ian, i wonder what is happening there in that case? Two things I find strange:1) that there are in fact any 30cm res images anywhere to use - I have certainly never found any........ I have found some 60cm in some areas of few kilometres .2) That you get worse imagery using level 17. My level 17 set up gives fantastic results, I can fly at 180 kts, and keep the ovals loaded. Also there is the tile size factor to consider - all your tiles will have 8 times as many images in them and be 8 times larger, even though they may not contain any level 18 or 19 imagery. Tile Proxy makes the tiles from what it has, and like I said, most of what you get is 1.2 metre or less. 3) I cant understand how you "force" 30cm textures if there is no 30 cm imagery.....I think there is another factor at play. Have you tried using my exact settings that I posted in a thread recently as well as my .cfg file settings? I would be interested to see the results. What sort of rig do you have? Cheers, Mark

Yeh... I know what you mean Mark. It didn't make sense to me either, but I can only comment on the results I get with the particular settings. Can't do anything at the moment though as TP is currently not installed (have a backup n my external for when my new system arrives in 2 - 3 weeks hopefully).I may see if I can dig out Christian's earlier post to make sure I haven't misunderstood.IAN
