February 28, 201016 yr Great aircraft and panelI can couple the autopilot to fly a fs9 flight plan using the AUX/NAV position but cannot get the flight director to follow this course whatever position I have the fd switch in.Any ideas anybody?Works ok with the very similar tinmouse panel.Regards Mike

You say the panel is very similar so would that be problematic for you?

March 5, 201016 yr I can give you no information about the flight director in the Vistaliner 727, but I can tell you that in the real 727 the f/d did not follow anything. It was a item used to direct you to the localizer (and glideslope if there was one at this approach) in the most direct and efficient manner. Once you had intercepted, it would give you corrections before you'd otherwise see them. Come to think of it, as I remember, it wasn't even called a flight director. The name was Command Bars.db. not cooper

The name was Command Bars.db.Also the original 727's FD can be used for PITCH and HEADING--it's not coupled to the autopilot. If I remember correctly, Vistaliners' panel reflects this limitation. I can hardly remember, as I flew it for 10 minutes and uninstalled to make room for the Dreamfleet version.
