March 1, 201016 yr Anybody closing this runway in MSFS for the 4 months it will be closed. I know this is a silly question but I thought I would ask. So much anger on the forums latley. This is my attempt to lighten things up. Andrew
March 1, 201016 yr Oh dear, that means I am going to get a bit rusty on my canarsie climb in Concorde :( Mind you, after getting Aerosoft's Heathrow i did reassign ALL the gates accurately, which means that I have closed terminal 2 for repairs ! Is that sad ? Peter Schluter
March 2, 201016 yr Oh dear, that means I am going to get a bit rusty on my canarsie climb in Concorde :( Mind you, after getting Aerosoft's Heathrow i did reassign ALL the gates accurately, which means that I have closed terminal 2 for repairs ! Is that sad ?The runway closure is Rwy 13R / 31L. Rwy 13L / 31 R will remain open.
March 2, 201016 yr The runway closure is Rwy 13R / 31L. Rwy 13L / 31 R will remain open. That is what I read , but The New York 31L Departure It was agreed when the aircraft started operating out of New York Kennedy to the Port Authority that runway 04L would not be used unless the Takeoff Weight was less than 140,000Kgs. In a situation where 04L has to be used (other runways closed, bad wx etc.) then a stop would have to be made, usually in Bangor or Halifax en-route to London/Paris. Therefore; the only runways available to Concorde for departure are 22R and 31L. Based on 28 years of meteorological data used by British Aerospace and Aerospatiale, the probability of a 31L departure was calculated at 68%. So here
March 2, 201016 yr Mark, you are correct. Looks like I am grounded !Getting the Canarsie climb right in Concorde is the best part of a KJFK-EGLL flight. Peter Schluter
