Apparently he did have some expertise as he had been flying with the airline for 2 years, and the co-pilot would have been the first to notice :( A little troubling I agree.BG

Well, he had over 10,000 hrs worth of flying time over 13 yrs with various European airlines so indeed is an expert in what he does. I guess he'll have to just do the right thing by sitting the appropriate exams and check-rides to be legally qualified.

Concerning JFK Kids:What would have hapenned if there was a serious crash while these kids were in the control tower, even if they had not been on the mike?I was once in a control tower in the middle of an airline incident and it is NO PLACE FOR KIDS regardless. The stress levels just explode...allen
