March 10, 201016 yr The -8/F should be a separate entity in the aircraft drop down list (on the right side of the select aircraft box). If it isn't there, you need to uninstall and reinstall your -8 extension package.I assume the validation worked okay and you had no error messages from the installation. If the reinstall fails, get a trouble ticket open at pmdg support (the web page at their site). Pleaseallow this redistributable to install when prompted. it don't ask me to install this redistributablefile for VS2008 at all, anybody know why, or where i can get it, james wyatt
March 10, 201016 yr If the installer wants to install a redistributal, please allow it to do that. However, I believe the C++ redistributals are installed by the -400X installer. You can run that installer again and select repair and it should repair both the 747-400 installation and the C++ redistributals.I've turned off UAC in Vista. You might try to right mouse click on the FSX directory and under properties go to security and assign admin rights to FSX and all subdirectories. Dan Downs KCRP

March 11, 201016 yr Commercial Member wow sent to tech support no one there? hmmm can anybody help with this? James wyatt oh and this is the worse support i have ever seen, i should have learned when i got the 400x, this will be the last timeJames, what does it say when you submit a support ticket?I'll tell you (again):"Typical turn-around times for support requests is approximately 24hrs, although on occasion it may take longer to answer complicated requests, or requests that require input from someone on the development team. Please note that while PMDG makes an effort to answer all support requests within 24hrs, our travel schedules occasionally require that longer turn-around times are necessary."That last bit there is exactly what was going on the last two days - we were shooting photos and doing cockpit tests on a real 737-800 (which is also noted in the news section of the support site) for the NGX project. If having to wait a day while we did critical work on a new project is the "worse support i have ever seen", then I don't know what to tell you except that you're extremely impatient. Also, you submitted a new support ticket every single time you tried to reply to something Paul told you in his original message to you - it makes it absolutely impossible to keep track of what you're referring to. Add onto the existing ticket, that ticket is supposed to be a collection of all communication, you can reply to it just like a forum thread. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
