March 9, 201016 yr Is anybody running W7 (any release) with the 182.5 drivers? Are you getting really great performance from the 182.5's that you did under Vista (any release)?I'm running right now with with the 196.21 and I thought that I read somewhere that the 182.5's are designed only for XP or Vista. I know that I had really great performance with them, and thought to ask before I go through the whole rigmarole of trying them out again under W7. They always gave great and sharp clarity. The community thought that the 182.5's was the all-time champ for FSX. I'm not interested in any other video entertainment titles...so...I'd appreciate your input. Thanks,Mitch
March 9, 201016 yr Author In light of no responses, I decided to revert back to the 182.5 and fire up FSX.Having done that...I got rid of them and back to the 196.21's as fast as I could. In using the 182.5's with W7...I got 12 FPS LESS than any of the 19x series. You definitely do not want to run 182.5 with any W7 product. I came back up to my full 30 locked after having dumped it.Back to nVidia 196.21.

Till shortly I always used the 182.50 drivers with goof performance.Now I have the latest and have the same perfomance.Sometimes to much (un)installing / tweaking can mess up things. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
March 10, 201016 yr I currently run 182.50 drivers with a GTX 260 in windows 7 and for me the FPS is almost the same as with the newer drivers. Maybe a few more frames with the newer ones. BUT, the image quality is much better for me with 182.50 than with for example 195.62. If using the newer drivers I have lots of shimmering and jaggies, but when running 182.50 that is reduced significantly. This is for FS9 as I almost only run that sim, but I've tried the 182.50 drivers with FSX as well and seems to perform quite well too.
