Through-flights?

Featured Replies

I tried looking through the posts here, couldn't find anything on it... Does this version of FS2Crew support through-flights/stopovers? Or is the stopover in this one like most of the others, involving a reload of the aircraft and starting FS2Crew from scratch?

HiThe Maddog version fully supports through flights. You can even run the pre-flight events again and you'll see the FO perform an abbreviated preflight check with the systems.banner_fs2crew_team_kk.png

But when doing a turnaround flight with the Maddog, don't we have to quit FSX or go back to the menu, start the loadmanager from leonardo, change the payload and fuel, then back in FSX, reload a default flight, and change aircraft ?How do you load the correct amount of fuel for the next leg ?

If you want to change the payload for a through flight, you need to do it from the FSX menus and thereby bypass the load manager. I doubt you could run it in the background and have the changes reflected in real time in the sim.For fuel, you can use the Maddog built-in refueling option which you can find in the ground services menu available by right-clicking the interphone mic switch, or again using the FSX menus.banner_fs2crew_team_kk.png

Thanks for the info Kimmo. I will try on one of my future flight. For the payload, with some addons (PMDG, or LVDSim) it is not recommended to change the load within FSX menus.I will try with the maddog.

You're right, in some cases it is not recommended. However, that's something we need to live with in the simulator context. In my opinion, it's not much of a "through-flight" anyway, if the sim needs to be reloaded! :(The options are to use the same payload or use programs that will provide real-time fuel and payload change capabilities without restarting the simulator, like TOPCAT and FSCaptain. TOPCAT does not support the Maddog though, and FSCaptain is still partially in beta.banner_fs2crew_team_kk.png
