March 17, 201016 yr Does anyone know of a consolidated list of approved (tested) FS9 addons that operate without issue in a 64-bit OS? As more of us migrate to 64-bit, it would be nice to have such a list as opposed to "just buy it/try it" process of elimination. I've been surprised by what operates and what doesn't operate (well) in 64.Developers please weigh in.ThanksRich Perry
March 17, 201016 yr I actually don't know of a lot of tested FS9 addons. I run the Dreamfleet C310, but I swapped the GPS to the default and it works fine. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
March 17, 201016 yr All the add-ons that I have in my FS9 work with x64 just fine. Perhaps a list of what doesn't work would be more appropriate. :) Cheers, Mack i7 950 @ 4Ghz :Apogee XT waterblock: EVGA X58 Classified :EK full-cover waterblock: Feser X-Changer 360: 3 x GTX 570 (Tri-SLI): EK full-cover waterblocks : Thermochill PA 120.2: 6GB Corsair Dominator 1600Mhz RAM (stock speeds) : FS9 & FSX @ 1920x1080 on Windows 7 x64
March 17, 201016 yr For me also, the only thing I have found that did not work in either FS9 or FSX with WinXPPro64bit is the RXP GPS integral to the Dreamfleet birds (Baron, Dakota). The stand alone model directly from RXP replaces it nicely. However, some other programs and hardware proved to be another thing for me. My flash card reader and scanner, would not work. Neither would my old version of MSMoney, Printmaster, or some of my documentation research software. My Laser printer also cannot be shared with my wife's 32bit computer in the home network. My solution after an upgrade was to retain an older computer with a WinXPPro32bit OS in parallel. I also implemented Simconnect and WideFS which unloaded some of the load off of my primary computer. I run ASE, PFE/PF2000, FDC, AISmooth and a few other items on the secondary computer. However, all of these will run fine in the 64bit environment as well.Happy flying:RTH
