March 19, 201016 yr I have no clue what has happened. I've probably spent the last two weeks tweeking and adding files and have flown and maybe a total of 3 hours in doing so. Started up FS9 today and it gave me an error that I suddenly had two FSUIPC.dll files in the modules folder. Huh? Worked fine last night. So I deleted the older one, restarted FS9 and now aget a string of .dll errors saying the aircraft or software cannot load and then the last kick in the teeth from Microsloth is that the MODULE.DLL file is missing or corrupt and to "simply" quote - "reinstall MSFS". Yeah right - hand doing hundreds of aircraft listings again ain't on my agenda at all.If there is no work around then I'm just going to uninstall everything and hang it up until I get a new system a few years from now. this is BS.Sorry - just had to vent! Booooy, I sure feel better now.
March 19, 201016 yr Hello,Dunno your problems but ... I suddenly had two FSUIPC.dll files in the modules folderthis is not true or bad explained :( By design of the OS .. it's impossible to have two files with the exact same name in the same folder :( Regards.
March 19, 201016 yr Author Hello,Dunno your problems but ...this is not true or bad explained :( By design of the OS .. it's impossible to have two files with the exact same name in the same folder :( Regards. MSFS flagged it before it processed the rest of the program spooled and then did a CTD after the error message came up. The files were;FSUIPC.DLLfsuipc.dllOne in caps, one lowercase. BOTH were in the Modules folder. Deleated all FSUIPC related entries in Modules, downloaded and re-installed again the latest FSUIPC into the Modules folder - still get same errors, this time of course no FSUIPC error though.
March 19, 201016 yr the MODULE.DLL file is missing or corrupt and to "simply" quote - "reinstall MSFS"There is no file associated with default FS9 with that name.hand doing hundreds of aircraft listings again ain't on my agenda at all.Why would you have to do this if you decide to re-install FS9?Un-installing FS9 will not remove anything that did not come with FS9.Just to be safe you could backup your addon aircraft before un-install/re-install.Don't forget the Gauges and Effects folders and possible the Modules folders, depending on addons.Hope this helps.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
March 19, 201016 yr I sure hope he didn't read FSUI.dll as FSUIPC.dll.yes,I just tested, when I remove FSUI.dll I get a lot of errors including the CONTROLS.dll as the first error.Extract FSUI.dll from the original disk and you should be set.
March 19, 201016 yr Author I sure hope he didn't read FSUI.dll as FSUIPC.dll.yes,I just tested, when I remove FSUI.dll I get a lot of errors including the CONTROLS.dll as the first error.Extract FSUI.dll from the original disk and you should be set.FYI to all as a follow up -JP_Visser hit the nail on the head!Yes, stoooopid me, upon deleating all FSUIPC items in my Modules folder I inadvertantly scooped up the FSUI.dll also and trashed it.As Visser suggested, lucky me, at least upon the initital installation of FS9 I had the forethought to back up the entire main FS9 folder to another area "just in case". Well here is one time it paid off. Copy and pasted FSUI.dll from my original FS9 backup folder into the one I am actually using and viola. Everything is fine. Thanks once again EVERYBODY for the help and suggestions. Now it's back to conquering these stupid glowing gas balls of light that are supposed to mimick real landing lights on AI aircraft! Argh! Thanks again!
