"Toggle" Command Question

Featured Replies

I am confused about a command...Is there a way to determine which FSX functions are part of the "toggle" function? I ask this as I am considering the purchase of the Desktop Aviator Switch Panel, but it is only operable for FSX commands that include the "toggle" function...Thanks a lot for your help...SteveReply With Quote

Two ways to find out: (1) start up FSX, go into Settings/Controls and browse the list of commands. If the one you want has an "on/off" option as a single command, then that is the toggle command for that function, and the one you need to program into your panel. (2) note that not all available controls/commands are selectable (or even visible) via the Settings panels. For a full list, see the article by Bob Church in the following topic. The Toggle commands are all listed together,http://forums1.avsim.net/lofiversion/index.php/t66297.html

If you have a registered version of FSUIPC, and if you will be using complex controls I suggest it, then justscan the PDF file that comes with the FSUIPC download, "List of FSX controls.pdf".This lists all the controls and those with "TOGGLE_" are easily found in the alphabetical list section.I think there are many others that do no have the word "TOGGLE" in the name but again, the documentationshould guide you.I use FSUIPC extensively to set aircraft-specific programming for my Saitek Pro setup with dualthrottle quadrants and my Saitek X-45 stick and throttle. The advanced programming abilities of FSUIPC plus the included Lua facilities makes configuring complex control sets possible without having to be an expert programmer. I just posted a help question about attempting to lock views. Does this FSUIPIC obtain this? I have an X52 that I have programed to the hilt. I just find my panel views lose their positions if I change (well anything) it seems.THANKS FOR ANY and all help.Jet

Respectfully,
