Required Disk 4 in FS04

Featured Replies

Is there any way to start FS04 without having to insert disk 4 every time. I'm sure we will all wear it out over the next 2 years. I thought I might back it up to use as a startup disk, but my CD creator didn't want to copy it. Regards, Tom

Yes, there is. Simply keep the disc in the drive at all times!CDs don't wear out in GOOD CD drives. If you have a #### cheap crappo CD drive now may be the time to get a good one to replace it.FS2000 required the CD as well. I played that daily (often starting it several times a day) for 2 years with no ill effects whatsoever on the CD.

Tom - Here's an interesting thread on the subject: http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/DC...mID21/1691.htmlDoug

There are FS9.exe hacks available on the internet that are CD cracks. I was a FS2004 beta tester but use one of these as a convenience and they work fine.Eric
