March 29, 201016 yr I installed the recently released KBWI v2.1 by Matthew Perry and Joshua Broadwater. I am having some problems with aircraft parking. I have checked for duplicate AFCADs and still have problems with aircraft not parking at the gates (or even partially in some buildings). In addition, I seem to have a missing apron around one of the terminals (see attached picture).I have CLOUD 9's KDCA (Reagan) airport installed along with MegaScenery's Mid-Atlantic photorealistic scenery.I'm kinda stumped as I had the same problem with version 2.Can anyone help?gwillmot
March 29, 201016 yr I would check the MegaScenery's Mid-Atlantic scenery folder for duplicate afcad. One thing I always hated about thier sceneryy was it installed duplicate afcads in the scenery folder. And then name them some ridiculous name to make it difficult to find them.Bill M Bill McIntyre Asus StrixB650E-F Gamer, AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, Corsair Titanium DDR5 64GB, Samsung 990 PRO-4TB M.2, (4) 2TB SSD's, Corsair H1150i liquid cooler, RTX 2080TI Founders Edition, (2) LG 34" HD Curved Monitor, Sound Blaster Audigy X, 1Kw PC Power & Cooling Power Supply, Corsair Obsidian Full tower Case. Would downloading Lee Swordy's AFCAD program and using the "search" function find these oddly named duplicate AFCAD files help? Just plug in the ICAO code and you'd get all your AFCADs for that airport in the window, along with the scenery layer each are in . . .? Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. Used SCANAFCAD with no duplicate files for that airport.gwillmot

From the information you sent, I can only think that KBWI is lower in the scenery list than the "Addon Scenery" directory. That would cause any KBWI AFCAD file in that folder to take precedence over the one in the KBWI folder. Or, you have KBWI lower than the original AFCAD file in the NAME directory. When I get home tonight I will post the filename for our AFCAD file so we can identify where it is on your system and see if we can fix this for you. I think the file is AF_KBWI.bgl, but I need to check. Feel free to message me as well using the AVSIM PM system or simply write here in the forum. I'll post again tonight with that info for you. Thanks,Joshua

I had the KBWI scenery listed as highest priority (1) in my scenery directory but I placed the AFCAD in my AFCAD folder (where I have most AFCADS) which was a much lower priority. All of my other scenery addons have been done in a similar manner with no problems. I had triple-checked that no other AFCADs were active for KBWI.SOLUTION: I simply moved the KBWI AFCAD into the KBWI/Scenery folder.......that solved it as evidence per that attached screenshot. Evidently there is some other scenery file that was located at a higher priority than the AFCAD folder that is a "hidden" AFCAD that I could not find. Thanks for everyone's help as it allowed me to determine it was some sort of "AFCAD" conflict / scenery priority issue. Goes to show that not all "AFCADS" are labeled in the traditional manner (nor contain the airport code in the file name). The scenery is GREAT and the airport is now properly populated.gwillmot

For those interested, there are two AFCAD files for KBWI. The first is AF2_KBWI.bgl and it is placed in the KBWI\Scenery folder. This is the standard AFCAD that places runways, taxiways, etc. A second AFCAD is called kbwisign.bgl and is also in the KBWI\scenery folder. This places all the taxi- and runway signs around the airport since the original signs were not aligned with the photoscenery. I hope you enjoy the updates and let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.Sincerely,Joshua
