March 29, 201016 yr Recently I added a new scenery for SCEL which shows the second runway;17R. FS9 recognized it correctly and I can see the second rwy, however Flightsim Commander which I use as flightplanner and moving map still shows the original airport without the second runway. Is this means that Flightsim Commander is not reading the new AFCAD correctly? I have placed the new AFCAD bgl file in the same addon scenery folder that the SCEL scenery bgls are. Is this the correct location or should I place it somewhere else?ThanksJuan

I would check that as it is apparent the program is not seeing your new afcad.
March 30, 201016 yr Author Thanks for your reply David. You are correct FS Comander has an option to update the database, and you are supposed to run it every time you add new scenery. The problem apparently is where the program looks for the bgl files. I have installed new scenery under "Addon Scenery" and also in their one folders. i.e. "Aerosoft" all of them are recognized perfectly by FS9 but not the same for FSCommander. JuanI don't think you ever stated what Operating System you are using - XP, Vista or Win 7 ?If either of the latter, it could be a "permissions" issue - the database builder is reading the new info but it is not being recorded. If using either of the latter, try turning off UAC (User Account Control) and be sure to run the database builder as "Adminstrator". Possibly that might work.If the new afcad is in an "active" scenery subfolder (such as Addon scenery/scenery), then it should be seen.
