April 24, 201016 yr I am missing the sequence where you press the TOGA hotspot, was that before turning of A/T? Maybe it is there and I missed it, sorry.Once TOGA is active the throttles will not respond to manual input on the controller. So sitting on the runway in position for takeoff, A/T on, advance throttles manually to 70% verify everything nominal then click TOGA hotspot. What then happens? Dan Downs KCRP

What then happens?TOGA had not been engaged. Once A/T was clicked at the line, I couldn't advance the throttles to take the runway anymore. So I couldn't advance the throttles anyway. What had been happening in the past was that I could advance the throttles to 70% N1, press the TOGA button, start rolling down the runway, then at about V1 A/T would bring the throttles back to idle. That's when i decided that I would try to seek some better eyes to look at this issue.
April 24, 201016 yr Well I am confused, if you didn't press TOGA why is it shown on the PFD?Make sure you only have one FSUIPC.dll file in your system. Maybe the problem is in this direction as George hinted. Dan Downs KCRP
April 24, 201016 yr TOGA was pressed as a mechanism to try and get the silly aircraft to take off before I started taking screenshots. The 737-900 exhibits the same problem. FSUIPC.DLL shows only in one location on my system, in the modules directory. The only thing I haven't tried yet is obliteration and reinstalling. I'm up for suggestions. Thanks again!Brian
April 24, 201016 yr Go for the reinstall... tip: Uninstall all the liveries first, then uninstall the aircraft. Delete any remaining pmdg 737 folders then reintall aircraft. Make sure it works before installing liveries.Do you also have 747? Dan Downs KCRP

April 24, 201016 yr OK I uninstalled the 737 NG and reinstalled it. The first flight, with no liveries or AIRACS installed (after patching, etc.) was good. When I hit the A/T switch during taxi nothing appeared above the HSI. However, my second flight (after closing and reopening FS9) didn't go at all. When I enabled the A/T switch, ARM was in white above the HSI and the throttles dropped to idle. I disabled A/T, pressed CTRL-SHIFT-G (enable TOGA) and nothing happened. I then hit CTRL-TAB-G to turn off TOGA (or enable N1 which doesn't do anything with A/T off). As I approached the R/W I turned on A/T and was able to taxi out and push to 70% N1. I pressed the TOGA button on the MCP and watched the HSI indicators change to N1 TOGA. The plane accelerated to N1 speed, and after a few seconds, I watched the A/T drop the throttles to idle.Thoughts?
April 24, 201016 yr New update. I loaded FS without using the REX weather engine, FS real time or UVA's ACARS system. No problems. although I had one or two success with this setup before. I'll try some things.
April 25, 201016 yr With REX engaged I cannot control the throttle quadrant after turning on the A/T switch. FS Real Time and the UVA ACARS system work just fine with the plane. Very interesting...
April 26, 201016 yr same with me ive done four flights so far without using the rex weather engine and everything seems to be working fine now
April 26, 201016 yr to be honest am not sure but am actually thinking about purchasing activesky to replace my rex weather engine
April 26, 201016 yr Who's bug do you think it may be?Well, if it works without REX and doesn't when REX is in use, I recommended starting with their support. George Morris
May 18, 201016 yr Who's bug do you think it may be?For what it's worth, I have found that in rare instance, certain add-ons cause very strange issues within FS and/or for certain FS2004 aircraft including the PMDG (and PSS) series. I found recently for e.g. that the Ultimate Traffic TCAS panel installation created very strange display problems inside the virtual cockpit of some aircraft so I uninstalled their TCAS gauges from my entire FS9 fleet (of about 100 aircraft) and all is fine now. I know that certain payware weather programs have caused some amazingly annoying problems for FS9'ers as well. If your NG flies well without this REX program, I am sure REX is causing problems for you with this PMDG bird. My approach these days is that if something messes with a favorite FS9 aircraft of mine or with the performance of the sim generally, I just de-activate it or uninstall it.
