April 5, 201016 yr I have been looking into both Flight Replicas Super Cub package and also the RealAir Scout, Decathalon, Citabria package. Ive read quite a bit on herethathas been said and Im still not sure which way to go.It seems to me that the RealAir package has fewer aircraft and all the planes have the same cockpit but all the planes have slightly better flight model (according to opinions I read). I also really like the way the realAir planes look. but...I really like being able to see as much of the terrain as possible. Ive seen shots on the Flight Replicas page that show quite a bit of visibility because itseems you can lower or remove the passenger door.My question is: can the passenger door be lowered/removed/opened on all of the Super Cubs or is it just a certain model? (the float model I think it was in the shots)and also: if you have the Real Air package -- how is cockpit visiblity? can you see all around or are you noticeably contained 'in a box'?I just dont like very much between me and the terrain. cockpit reflections also annoy me so Id appreciate knowing if either the RealAir or the SuperCub have cockpit reflections that cant be easily eliminated by renaming a file or something.any and all help would be appreciated. Im leaning towards the RealAir package. My main reasons that would make me go for the SuperCub would be the multiple cockpit choices and the increased visibility. My main reasons for the RealAir package (so far) are the fact that I like the planes better. If the RealAir planes have just as good cockpit visibility (meaning that you can see all around like you can in the default Maule) as the SuperCubs, then Ill get the RealAir.so to recap:question 1) can the passenger door be lowered/removed/opened on all of the Super Cubs or is it just a certain model? (the float model I think it was in the shots)question 2) How is 'cockpit visibility' (the ability to see all around like in thedefault Maule) in theReal Air planes?question 3) Do the Real Air planes all share the same cockpit or are there different layouts like the FR SuperCub package has?also: which has better sound? i think sound is very important. the repetitive 'songs' that some airplanes 'play' can get to a person. the default ultralight is quite musical if you listen for a while. I like planes that you cant tell that you are listening to a repeated recording.thanks for your help. | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. April 5, 201016 yr Hi Dave,I have both of the models you mention. I would strongly recommend the Real Air Scout, hands down, for all the reasons you mentioned plus the wonderful realism, but yet the clarity of the landscape seen through the windows. It is far better in every single way you asked about in my opinion.Stephen
April 5, 201016 yr Author Hi Stephen - thanks for pushing me over the edge. I got the real Air package and they are just what the doctor ordered.I was worried about visibility but I can put the windows up on both sides! and fly that way. its cool. I love the wind sounds. and the enginesounds are good too. It all looks really smooth and well put together. makes up for my current trouble with IRIS Christen Eagle. I dont know whatits problem is but Ill figure it out eventually. I need to reinstall befre I do anything else. Thanks again. | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. August 20, 201015 yr Hey Stephen, you pushed me over the edge as well. I don't go to the same doctor as sightseer, but it's hit the spot! But it's got no flaps! :( The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
