Default Beechcraft KingAir 350

Featured Replies

I know that the default Beechcraft KingAir is not a favorite aircraft in FSX, but flying it fills a need for me. Besides dislike of the less than real looking (but functional) instrument panel in the virtual cockpit, I found it difficult to fly due to the lack of nose-up pitch trim available. The setting at takeoff uses most of the available trim adjustment, and there isn't enough adjustment to keep the nose up at low speeds. The aircraft will fall short of the runway during an AP ILS approach unless excessive speed is maintained. For anyone who does care about flying this aircraft, I found a solution by changing elevator_trim_effectiveness to 1.5 in the aircraft.cfg flight tuning section. For me, it is now a decent handling aircraft. Am I cheating?

I wouldn't call that cheating if the trim wasn't working as it's supposed to in the first place.good job

Another thing you can do is download Alexander's FDE file which makes it fly much more realistically:http://www.metzgergva.de/site/index.php?op...=39〈=en

Thanks. You notice that he dosn't list a revision for the Beechcraft Baron. It is the best (easiest) flying of the default aircraft, in my opinion.

Alex developed a commercial Baron, so no free airfile listed..
