So do I need the GNS530 or what?

The 430 fits nicely into my Duke, but wouldn't it look better with a 530?:) :) :)Would it be worth it?dukeneed530.jpg

Hmm it does! Do you happen to know if the 430 and 530 can be linked together like a real plane?

Only if you buy the "unlimited" option in addition to the 530 (http://www.reality-xp.com/flightsim/gns-unlimited/features/index.html). That's another $99 - too expensive for me. I use the Duke with a 430+530 setup, and I just enter the flightplan twice. The unlimited option also gives you a TCAD simulation and the ability to run 430+430 or 530+530 setups.

I have both but not the "unlimited" package. IMO: Not worth it unless you fly the Duke exclusively and/or you need the 530 for some other favourite addon you also use a lot. I got both because I like the ability to slap either a 530 or a 430 into any aircraft, depending on the VC. If I need to add it as a 2D only solution, I usually use the 530 since it's got a bigger screen. And because I'm a payware-holic. I regret having bought the 530, it's just a 430 with a bigger screen. you don't really need both. Spend the money on some decent scenery instead.

the Duke quickly turned into my new favorite small prop! Love it! Just haven't gone past the default gps. I import my flight plan and don't want to bother manually entering it in

But that's all the fun lol!The Reality XP unit adds A LOT vs the default unit - especially if you fly on vatsim or other flights where you need fairly up-to-date procedures
