I've had it a week and I'm learning something new every day. Thanks for all the posts here and the good advice. EnvaluableWhen the Tutorial first starts I get the Captians normal view (1).I press "A" and nothing happens. Tried it with and without Caps Lock. When I press Shift+A the view changes. I can go through then entire sequence doing this. In reverse order as it should be.I get 10 views instead of the 8 the Tutorial says. A Captians view through the windscreen (no panel) and a view from between the Capt and the FO, looking forward. These extra views don't bother me, but I list them because it may lead someone to the problem. How can I make the "A" key work as it should? The second part of my question is:Is there a way to reprogram the mouse so you don't have to press the shift key to move around. Also to zoom with the wheel without having to hold the shift key. It takes two hands to do it this way and I'm already missing the FO's two. Sure would make it a lot easier. Thanks,Roy Warren

Roy, I'm guessing you have some sort of conflict. Do you have other aircraft and the "a" works? I use the A button all the time, so if yours isn't working, I'm assuming it is some kind of conflict between FSX assignments and the bird.

Doug,I did have the "A" assigned to AutoPilot at the time I installed the JS41. When it would not work properly, I went to the FSX key assignments and deleted this from the button assignments. I deleted it after I had installed the JS41, if that might have anything to do with it.The only add on planes I have is a freeware Beech 1900D and the JS41.Roy Warren

You changed the default assignment by assigning it to A/P, deleting doesn't change it back, you have to reassign it to the default (cycle camera view or whatever it is called) and it should work fine (in the MSFS control assignments).

Thanks Dan,That did it.Now, I'd still like to get an answer to the second part of my post about having to hold down the space bar to control the mouse. Thanks again,Roy Warren

All I have to do is tap the space bar to change the mouse from pointer to view control and back. Have you tried that?

Dan,That doesn't work for me. I have to hold down the space bar to either pan or zoom. When I press the space bar a little crosshair comes up. If I let the spacebar go, the crosshair goes away. It will only pan or zoom when the crosshair is displayed.Got to go. Will check back later. Thanks for your help,Roy Warren

The difference is in how the keycommand is assigned, check your msfs keyboard assignments.
