Featured Replies

I reinstalled my MD-11 and did the update, and I get green x'es not red but absolutly no displays on the FMC or anything the aircraft has worked flawlessly in the past in FS9 running windows 7, but now it won't displat any informarion on the screens and yes it is a totally leagle copy I bought and paid for. Full name in this forum please. The lack of textures on the MCDU can be caused by a problem with the C++ redistributals.

The texture is fine, it is the big green X on all of the PFD's

Hi Michael, The only time I've heard of with the big X's staying on the screens is on either pirated copies or similar validation issues on legit copies. So perhaps the validation never went through all the way due to firewall up perhaps?Or maybe when you installed it user account control didn't write the needed validation files for your install?I would try to uninstall it and clear out (delete) all traces of the past install and then reinstall with admin rights. Also make sure you don't have any virus scammers running while doing the install.

There are red and green X's and I can't remember which one is DU O/S (for lack of power for example and is normal) and which one is validation problem. The reason I mention the MCDU (FMS) is because you did, and in the event it appears without a face then it could be a problem with the C++ files. One solution is to try to run the installer again and select repair for both the aircraft and C++ redistributals. Hope this helps.

Yeah red cross is DU failure (had DU1 fail mid atlantic once with random failures), so green must be validation issues.
