It would help to know what you are trying to configure for... is it FSX or FS9? Are you using XP, Vista, 7? Do you have SP2 or Acceleration installed if you are using FSX? You see, there are many variables. As for installation, I use SimConnect and am not familiar with WideFS other than it was developed by Pete D.I assume you have read the HiFi manual which is a good start, and it looks as though you have got your network running. Your server (FSX/FS9 Installation) IP address should be placed in the SimConnect.xml file and the same address included in your SimConnect.cfg file located on your ASE (Client) computer. This is my setup:Folders to shareFSX/FS9 (Server) C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X (or your FSX installation folder) C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX (or if on Vista, C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX) C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files (or if on Vista, C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files) I added ASE to the windows firewall exceptions tab using port 500 on both computers then placed the following in each of these folders:FSX Computer (Server)SimConnect.ini in Documents\Flight Simulator X FilesSimConnect.xml in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX (where FSX.cfg is located)ASE Computer (Client)SimConnect.cfgGood luck, \Robert Hamlich/

May 2, 201016 yr Hi James - This is Robert... not Matt.I had to read the manual a few times myself and got help from Jim when I just couldn't figure out what the problem was. He is really a great guy and will help as much as possible.Keep plugging away and you will eventually have everything up and running. I have the same OS setup as you on my PC's so I can tell you that ASE does work fine between the two. Post back if you have any questions. \Robert Hamlich/
May 4, 201016 yr Robert,I want to thank you for your willingness to help out in this thread!Hi Jim - Hey it is the least I could do after all the help you provide in the forum, and not only this one if I may add. Considering that you have helped me on many occasions with respect and patience I figured that I could give back to the community and repay you for your service, albeit in a very small way compared to you.Best regards, \Robert Hamlich/
