April 27, 201016 yr I have an ATI 5800 series card (two of them). System is a i7 975. My FSX cfg with some of ******* settings as follows:[GRAPHICS]HIGHMEMFIX=1STALE_BUFFER_THRESHOLD=1024FORCEFULLSCREENVSYNC=1FORCEWINDOWEDVSYNC=1SHADER_CACHE_PRIMED=1693500672TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096[Display]TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=80UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=40I have trilinear (sp?) within FSX and do not have AA checked within FSX. Within my CCC, I have AA x8, AF x16, Cataylst AI on advanced, AA mode on adaptive multi-sample. I get horrible jagged lines within FSX. Since applying the tweaks, my jagged lines seem to look worse, especially after the vsync fix. Any way to get them to look better? Should I check AA within FSX? Run the frame rate limiter within FSX to a higher setting? Thanks Eric
April 27, 201016 yr Commercial Member Yeah when I had a 4870 up until a couple months ago I actually found setting the in-game options was best. Check the AA box and set the filtering drop down to anisotropic. Set the ATI driver to Application Preference for both AA and AF. ******* found the cfg settings to actually control the in-game AA levels, I can't remember them of the top of my head though, maybe he can post them here. That will allow you to get your 8X. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

April 28, 201016 yr I struggle with AA on my 4890 card in both FS9 and FSX. I'm starting to think that it just doesn't do AA very well in Flight Sim. - Aaron

I'm starting to think that it just doesn't do AA very well in Flight Sim.AA and AF - application-controlled in ccc here, with Aniso selected and AA ticked in fsx. Since the vSync issue is now dead - I'm quite happy. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
