Ok-I may be biased because I owned one (well the early version) for 11 years and put about 800 hours in it. Some first impressions..The attention to outside detail is amazing!Looking at the landing gear-the wire going to the landing light on the nose wheel, the placard, the struts, grease drippings and bug splats, the grey ash on the exhaust pipes at the bottom, chipped paint on the wheel wells-the cotter pins on the main gear-all is hugely familiar from spending hours cleaning an polishing and sometimes repairing! Every rivet is where it is supposed to be...the antennas are perfect as are the writing on the tires-the glass is perfectly colored.I could go on and on but the outside is perfect and incredibly detailed.except - Beacon is off center-should be right in the middle.Inside-also amazing detail! The yoke is perfect and I love the wire which leads the push to talk switch etc. which moves when the yoke moves. Cowl view perfect though I'd like the default view to have the cowl view-right now you have to set that up with a few button pushes. The aileron trim is perfect the way it looks and moves. I think it is very hard to model the yoke and look of it (I know-I have tried) and it is just done perfectly in every aspect! The magnetic compass is one of the most real looking ones I've seen in fs. Pilot side window is perfect. Trim wheel and its rotation/indicator perfect!Bug?text on switches (landing lights etc.) is blurry-a shame when everything else in the cockpit is perfect and sharp.Still wondering why there are two adf boxes that seem tied together on the panel? This is an exeptional aircraft and few in fs immediately feel real. This one does..it is a masterpiece. Now if they could add another engine, and a few gauges I would never fly anything else !

Agreed, Geof, it's definitely a beauty! Now that I'm getting to know it better, I'm liking it even more. Right now, I'm going through the various manuals to make sure I understand everything well enough. This is their best work yet, IMO.

I have to agree! great job Carenado. couple little issues I'm sure will be addressed. I need a sling shot to get her out of starks though.

I just flew some approaches at my home airport tonight with ASE and Reality Xp 430 in the panel and it gave me shivers. I will not be using any other airplane in fsx-that is until another engine is put on this one-lol...(please consider!!).Thank you Carenado for making this great aircraft! It is a masterpiece! Now a trivia question for owners. There is something that is not modelled in the yoke and outside model (and not all that important) ..but Bo owners will know what it is...

I would have to say the yoke/rudder interconnect? Bungie cords are used for the interconnect. I was going to say aileron trim but it is in fact modeled.

The interconnect is true and an excellent guess and one I hadn't thought of! I was/am looking for something else concerning the animated yoke and outside aircraft view.. but I think you are winner for finding another one!

Other than drooping controls with the engine off I'm at a loss. Good question! Is the nose bowl landing light aimable? Hmmmmmm that's all I got!

You are the double winner! Yes-with the engines off the yoke should be all the way to the panel and not half way out and the the elevator should be down..Wow-I am super impressed-I didn't think anyone would figure it out!

If only I cold kick this simulator hobby, I may be able to get one LOL.
I started on the sim only, 30 years ago until my wife of all people kicked me into the rw in 1989. There is no better time now for buying rw for sure than now..bargains are everywhere. The sim overall is still way cheaper though-and it gets so real with entries like this aircraft that sometimes I question why bother with rw ...until I get behind the controls of a real one-take a great trip, and have a life altering experience!

I too have been simming since the sublogic days. Got my PPL in 1998. I rent for the most part but my boss has a Mooney M20k231 I have been getting some time in. Much higher work load than the a Cheerokee 140! The Mooney has Gammi injectors, Merlin waste gate, and the 252 gear door mod. Great performance! I love the Mooney wing, very similar to a p51 wing shape. Aviation has been my passion as far back as I can remember. My father was a private pilot as well. I have him to thank for the addiction I "struggle" with today! To most the sky is the limit but to me it's home!
