May 1, 201016 yr Author I too have been dimming since the sublogic days. Got my PPL in 1998. I rent for the most part but my boss has a Mooney M20k231 I have been getting some time in. Much higher work load than the a Cheerokee 140! The Mooney has Gammi injectors, Merlin waste gate, and the 252 gear door mod. Great performance! I love the Mooney wing, very similar to a p51 wing shape. Aviation has been my passion as far back as I can remember. My father was a private pilot as well. I have him to thank for the addiction I "struggle" with today! To most the sky is the limit but to me it's home!Well glad to meet you tonight-sounds like we are in sync with many experiences except I have never flown a Mooney..It also looks like you get to fly in a very scenic part of the world! They don't call it the WET coast for nothing! Its an instrument pilot's paradise up here! If I may, I suggest a flight (in the sim) from CYPK 270 degrees to the Howe sound then up into the Squamish area, then Whistler and Pemberton! 3500ft in a good visability aircraft. Can't beat it!! May 2, 201016 yr Cowl view perfect though I'd like the default view to have the cowl view-right now you have to set that up with a few button pushes.Geofa,Have just got this baby ad agree with all your comments..Reference the cowl view...May I ask what buttons etc to get it how you know it...I think seeing the cowling out the window is realistic..Dave
May 2, 201016 yr SHIFT-ENTER will raise your viewpoint enough to see the cowl. Two or three taps ought to do it.Jim
May 2, 201016 yr SHIFT-ENTER will raise your viewpoint enough to see the cowl. Two or three taps ought to do it.JimIf you want to make this permanent, you can edit the viewpoint in the aircraft.cfg file.My settings (I'm 6' 3"):[Views]//eyepoint=-2.4,-0.80,2.95 eyepoint=-2.51,-0.91,3.06This will set you back in your seat, aligned with the yoke and raised a bit.The third coordinate is the height. If you change the 2.95 to say 3.10you will have a nice view of the cowling. Bert
May 7, 201016 yr I must agree that this is one beautiful plane. If one day they do become affordable, I will own one.For now I can only afford the Carenado version. It's not perfect yet. But it's pretty close. What I would like to see is a thread that allows the users of the F33 to add their issues so that they can all easily be resolved one by one.Maybe a patch can be developed that addresses some of the main concerns. Cockpit details, gps, light illumination adjustments, etcThanks again to Carenado. The F33 is a gem. MSFS
