Screenshot depicting flaw in scenery addon

Recommended Posts

When I was reading a review over Grenadine athttp://www.flugsimulation.com/reviews/incl...?site=grenadinea weird thing occored to me. At the screenshots at the bottom you find one TVSC and here you see the lights for the runway out in the water.I have seen this before in a payware addon for Swedflight Kastrup EKCH which I find very annoying. The improved scenery is really cancelled out by such glaring glitches. Why do we see this in payware airport addons? Is it possible to fix it?

Are you sure that that airport doesn't have lights over the water in real life?

I looked at TVSC in Google Earth and there is a cloud in the way, but you can see clearly that TVSB has approach lights in the water.regards,Joe

Approach lights setting in water is not uncommon at all .......As an example, have you flown into San Francisco from the Ocean side recently? If the end of a runway is close to a shoreline, where else are the approach lights going to be installed?

I've been (virtually and real) in ENCN-Kristiansand Norway and there the approach lights also extend into the water.Nothing unusual...ENCN.gif

So it is no error. I didn't thought they could have approach lights out in the water. Then I wan't to install my EKCH airport addon. But I don't know how it is at EKCH in real life. I have flown there with airliners in real life but don't remember being able to see the approach lights.
