Hi guys,I found this a todayhttp://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=cv35Does anyone know more about it?
This is a much earlier version originally designed for FS2002 and updated for FS2004, then patched to run in FSX. It is not a true FSX model.

Actually, the Flight1 site specifically states it will not run in fsx after SP1. Other words no workie w/ SP2 or Acceleration. Doesn't Carenado have one of those FS2002/4 V-tail?

This is the Carenado Bonanza V35, they also handle the F33, both of which are the FS2002/4 versions that had the patch for OEM FSX. I would not recommend trying to run them on the current version of FSX and even if you could you would be dissapointed compared to the FSX release of the Carenado Bonanza, over eight years of advances really shows in this case.

I have the Corenado V35 installed in both FS2004 and FSX and it flies beautifully IMHO. It has been one of my favorites for years (and still is). In fact, it has been my favorite single engine land bird regardless of how old it was, both real world and in FS.However!I just purchased the Corenado F33 this morning, and WOW!. Granted the old bird is no where near as impressive as this new fine contribution from Corenado, but is still worth having in one's hanger. I fear I may now have a new favorite. The only reason I hesitated to purchase the F33 was because it had no 2D panel (which to some extent it does). I have not been a 3D Virtual fan. However, the fine LuscombeX freeware contribution a few days ago with only a simple, but beautiful virtual display changed my mind. I decided to bite on the F33 in the hope that it would be equally pleasing and I sure am glad that I did.One thing that improved my outlook is as follows: On my system I implement multiple monitors. Formerly, I had two 21 inch Viewsonic Professional Series P815 monitors running off of a GTX285 video card in my primary computer with FS. I had a 23 inch LCD monitor running off of a secondary computer implementing Wideclient and Semconnect. I switched monitors, making the LCD my primary monitor for FSX. One of the things I have always not liked about virtuals is they were a little too dark for these old eyes. The LCD monitor cured that misgiving completely.Thank you Corenado (for both Bonanzas!)RTHEdit afterthought: Upgrade the V35 panel to that of the F33, and have the best of both worlds. I really don't know if I will do this as I have a customized 2D panel in the V35 that I really like, but it is sure worth consideration.

How come you panel is not transparent in the V35 under FSX.SP2?

Posted

OK! Time for me to plead ignorance. I don't really know what "transparent" is. If you review my posts I hope you will realize I am not a complete dummy, just some of the timel. Is what I have realitive to your use of that term good or bad? Please forgive my ignorance and explain what you mean by the term and I will try to reply. I have seen the term several times, but you will have to overlook my short between the ears.Respectfully:RTH

when i look left or right i can see right through the panel to the ground.

OK.From what you are saying in your two replies, are you talking about 2D or 3D virtual displays.?This panel reacts like any other 2D panel to me. If I pan around far enough, I can see the ground. (like all other 2D panels that I have including FSMS defaults). My understanding is that in FSX if you pan far enough left or right, the display switches to virtual 3D which has been good or bad depending upon the preference of the beholder. I have seen nothing abnormal relative to this situation with this or any other 2D panel. If this is what you are talking about, my panel is "transparent in the V35 under FSX.SP2?." If not, I do not understand what you are saying. The 3D Virtual display which I have not altered in any way also reacts normally.Respectfully:RTH
