May 13, 201016 yr Commercial Member Is there a way to temporarily disable the user's joystick throttle?I need to set the throttle, but don't want its position getting overridden by any signals sent by the joystick throttle. Thanks, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
May 13, 201016 yr Well if it's got proprietary assignment profiles then it can probably be done there. I'm using a Saitek X52 and although I've assigned axes through FSX and not the Saitek software, you can AFAIK use a profile to add or remove axes. If you then use the "mode switch" you don't even have to alt+tab out to disable the throttle, just make "profile with throttle" mode A and "same profile but without throttle" mode B.Most anything is possible with registered FSUIPC, but I find it a bit too difficult to get my head around the documentation.

May 13, 201016 yr Commercial Member You can probably do it using an event handler trap. See this topic which was on the autobrake but the same principle applies.-Dai
May 13, 201016 yr Commercial Member I'll stress once again... this can have dire consequences... my Citation X is a prime example. I already take total control of the throttle interface. Another application stepping in and trying to do it would have a horrible result for the end user. I'm certain there are other aircraft that would also have problems if your application suddenly decided it wanted to be 'in charge'. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
