May 16, 201016 yr I recently bought a new PC capable of high graphic performance, and I would like to try some flight simulators to determine the best one to fly over my city.I have full versions of FS2004 and XPlane7, and demo of Xplane 9 and FSX.Is FS2004 able to use 3d terrain scenarios? FSX looks very good, but I can't understand if I can use same scenarios with FS2004. If yes, where can I download italian scenery from? And what about xplane7? It appears very poor compared to XP9, having just a nevernding flat world! Can it be "upgraded" to 3d world? And, again, where to download italian scenery from?
May 18, 201016 yr Considering you're posting this in the MFS forum...you'll usually get MFS suggestions.I recommend you post your specs of your new computer so we can see if you can handle FSX at all or to stick with fs9, which can handle 3D scenery. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |

May 21, 201016 yr rome, italy.I am pretty sure there is alot of freeware in the library here at avsim for that area for fs9.
May 21, 201016 yr Search in the 2004 scenery library here for ISD (Italian Scenery Design). There are several versions so get the latest one for the base and update. LIRF 2005 is one plus an update or two.A search on Italy turns up more.
