May 25, 201016 yr Merlin,It's not the (autopilot) section in cfg. It's the model. The POSKY and the PSS are 'wired' differently (as would be an AirBus) as far as the MODEL is concerned. The cfg or air file are also not the problem. How do I know? Well, I have been doing this (FDE's) since FS98. So don't post your (torrent?) file. OK? OK!Posky does things differently from the 'normal' run of the mill aircraft models. Posky models rely on a lot of xml to 'do the job'. Since the PSS doesn't (to me) have these 'capabilities', then a 'merge' will result in BOTH (the panel(s) too) not 'working'. Was the 'merge' a bad idea? I would say so. But I haven't given up and did some testing yesterday night, and today all day (ayi, look at the time-time to quit). So, no joy. What a mess. And that is even when using a default panel. But I did find an FSX (yes, POSKY) that flies good (no, VERY GOOD) in FS9. But, I am sorry-I forgot where I got it (LOL). :)CBNapamule
May 25, 201016 yr Please check my site, I did an improvement for the 777-200 and its available for free.Note that I use a merge with Posky, otherwise copy the relevant sections over, all except the fltsim.x part. Also, the problem is that the gauge is responsible, so you need to edit its dat file also. The airfile is adjusted to fight a little back to the a/p :-)Johan
May 25, 201016 yr Johan,Thanks for the download. I have been working on Posky 777 for the last few days. In the process I found a Posky 777 (says: 'for FSX only' but I ignroed that part (ha)) and it does work very good in FS9 (used the FS9 747 panel). The file name is 'ap77xbgk.zip', 82 Mb, 2-20-2010. It's the 'PIA WAVY FLAG TAIL AP-BGK, BASE STEPHEN GROOM, REPAINT AHMED AHSEN.'.So, I came in here to tell Nandan (the good news) but I seem to have lost him in the shuffle (hehe). I am used to working on FDE's (since FS98) and don't get fraustrated when things don't go right. I keep at it. But with this Posky/PSS mess I gave up. No use fighting it. I suspected a guage and/or the model itself. But even by using other panels it does the same 'dive' (and crash) on ILS. Too bad. But like I say, I found a good one. I will try your FDE's tonight.I am burned out, though. Worked on Kaz Ito's Me323 all day. Got it 'tamed' and although it does not cruise at 425 kt (yet) (as it says in the 'Reference' section) I got it landing at 90 kts. Worked on ground handling too (had to move the wheels, tweak cnt pts, balance, etc.) so it would turn (required differential braking add to brakes, too). What an 'exotic' jobbie this one is. But a headache to fix. So, it's time for my nap. CUL8R.CBNapamule

Just come up with the solutions. And I am not torrent guy. I just wanna post the CFG.not torrent. Tested Johan FDE and its looks great. Thanks Johan :)
May 26, 201016 yr Merlin,Cheesh. What did I do to YOU? Insult you? Bore you? Was just relating with Johan. You got a problem with that? Too bad. Quote: 'I am noob at those codes'. They are not codes. They are lines in a configuration file and are just text. Code (lines) are found in 'programming' files (ie: 'in xyz language').Johan,I did an ILS with my autopilot section-it was not 'tight' and had a yaw problem (slight). I put in your autopilot section and it was tight, and no yaw problem. Thanks again for sharing. I DID notice the new values in autopilot. Your mods? Or did you get it from someone else. Is so, thank that person, too. These values are what is needed (required) for the PO 777-200. These same values might not work with an ERJ or an AirBus (am I right?). Clever-very clever.I will not try/use your cfg (it's (oh no!) AirWrench! Sorry. Next I will try your air file (without any changes). I am retired now, so I can make plans to play the next day doing whatever I like. I never did do much editing of 747, or Airbus, files before. Mostly GA and vehicles. Wana see my 'FDEs' for vehicles/ Here is a link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoEZGZ-55kM . I have lots of fun tweaking vehicles-but ran out of models, so I tweak 777 (ha). Cheers.CBNapamule(Key in 'napamule' at YouTube, or SimTube to get my videos. Look for '421 Race Cars' at SimTube. It shows FSRecorder capabilities in FS9.)

Mostly GA and vehicles. Some mine, some others.. the result is what counted. You may work on my fde further to fine tune it, be my guest.. just mention it in a readme or something. :-)I dont use Airwrench btw..Also, have a nice almost done RFP747 airfile what now works with my POSKY 747-200 very well.. see the RFP forum.Have fun, and remember, we take so much (downloads) sometimes happy to give something back to the community.More people should do this..Johan
May 27, 201016 yr Johan,Well your air file did not work with the 777-200-sorry. I got EGT of 737 C. Speed? Lousy-only 370 kts @ 99% power. No bueno. Might be ok for 747. Don't know. But thanks for sharing the (auto pilot) section of cfg, it helped a lot. Will give you credit for this (but I don't plan to upload nothing anywhere-yet). If I ever do I'll ask you for permission (notify you). OK? OK!This 'decrepency' only shows that there are a lot of simmers out there suffering because no one 'takes charge' and corrects the cfg and air files 'MIS-MATCH', or, 'COMPATABILITY' issue. It's like 'THE IMORTANT THING IS THE MODEL' ('... and the heck with dynamics, or your VC, etc, 'issues''). Too bad, so sad. Don't they realize what is going on (and has been going on for a long time-no doubt in my mind about that)? They have so many models, and variations, and 'versions', that even a computer could not keep up with what file is being used with what model. Posky says to load the whole (warning not to make modifications, or changes to files) complete aircraft (even if it's just a new paint) and the painters OBVIOUSLY are making changes to the cfg or air files and the Posky people don't even realize this is happening. No one 'checks'? So you have a mess. No way to run a ship. But, it's almost over. Then we can go fly the C-172 and enjoy ourselfs (ha).CBNapamule
May 27, 201016 yr As I said earlier, its not perfect, feel free to use.Only the a/p and the rollercoaster behaviour is tamed."that there are a lot of simmers out there suffering because no one 'takes charge' and corrects the cfg and air files "Go ahead sir, take charge and correct them for us further.I did what I wanted to do, since the 777 is not my baby, the 747 is, and you can imagine that all my efforts go into that. For short hops I recently discovered the tinmouse panel, and I am adjusting that airfile to my needs too.Johan
May 29, 201016 yr Author napamule, i will send you my files. Havent had the time recently (studing for exams and only allowed on computer in weekends) so check your email. Thx for the extra comments!
May 29, 201016 yr Author Johan, I copied your [autopilot] section and on ILS it keeps turning left and right and left and right...In my POSKY PSS merge aircraft.cfg it just has PSS everything expect [Flightsim.x] [fuel] [contact_points] [lights] [smoke_system] which are from POSKY.

There lays the difficulty.Napa said earlier he didnt have the PSS so he cannot compare.Just picking some parts will not work.Johan

May 29, 201016 yr Author Napamule, i'm not gonna send the files to you, i found someone on vatsim who has a successful POSKY PSS merge. He said he was going to post on this thread if i remember correctly. But we'll see how it goes.Keeping you guys informed, hopefully we'll see it the merge on this thread.
August 25, 201015 yr I've been looking for a working PSS-POSKY 777 merge for weeks and never found a working link.Even if I find a place to download it, it's always a dead link.Is there anyone here who can help me find/get a decent working PSS/POSKY merge for the 777?I know there's one on megaupload but it's a dead link.I really hope you guys can help me out with this...Cheers!
August 25, 201015 yr I've used this merge - posky_pss_777_merge.zip available here in the library - since it was published, along with Johan's mods. It works very well. A word of advice -- follow the readme to the letter.BTW, Johan Dees was involved with the first (FS2002) version of the PSS T7. I'd still be using that version if I had FS2002 on my system.Jim Harnes
