May 22, 201016 yr The cache is small on those drives. I would look for 16 or 32 MB cache. Ditch the GTX 285 for the new GTX 470, it should cost about the same. You will need after market cooling to overclock to 4.0 Ghz or better of you plan to. The Asus P6X58 premium is not necessary, the standard P6T is good enough. RAID0 is not good for FSX performance from what I have heard. Run the drives separately, one for the OS and one for FSX. Don't skimp on the power supply, get a good brand like OCZ, Corsair, etc. 650 watts should be plenty. Shane Gavin

May 23, 201016 yr Hi Mike, just my 2 cents, If you can get your hands on a 920 DO it's overclock friendly and Corsairs water cooler (see my gear below) great cooling without the fuss. Rapters for HD or SSD definitely the way to go. I have some of the stuff you are looking at, my case,cpu,video card,power supply, cpu cooler,ram and a copy of Win7 64 was about 1700 US, as I already had the HDs'. Good luck Ralph Peebles
