KCLE Problems

Featured Replies

I'm having a problem with my KCLE airport on my older XP PC. Attached are pics showing a small mountain range surrounding the airport, with roads and cars on top. I've searched for duplicate bgl's, but nothing shows up. I tried different landclass too. I have UTX and GEX, and I'm using FSG Landclass. Any ideas?

I have both UTX and GEX and do not have this issue. Additionally, this would not be a GEX or landclass issue.Have you installed any third party mesh? I have FS Genesis mesh, and also do not have this issue. Is your CLE scenery the default? Or an add-on/enhancement?This seems to be an elevation issue, where your CLE installation it either set lower than the surrounding area, or the surrounding area is set too high per the airport elevation. Something is miss-matched for some reason. My 'home base' is around the Cleveland area, and do not have this issue anywhere of any significance, or at all. And I have many add-on scenery enhancements.

I just checked KCLE in FSX on an XP setup - default scenery only - and while a portion of the aiport is slightly elevated from the surrounding terrain, it is certainly nothing like your screenshot shows.I suspect it is a mesh issue.

Check your post over at Flightsim - there appears to be a solution posted there by abrussell.
