May 30, 201016 yr HiHaving huge issues with my FSX running out of memory or so it tells me and since bashing the computer silly doesnt seem to work I'm here to annoy you all.My system is;Windows Vista home basic 32 bit SP2CPU Intel pentium D925 presler 65nm technologyRAM 2.0Gb dual channel DDR2 @ 266mhz 4-4-4-12Motherboard ECS Livermore (CPU-1)Graphics Nvidia Gforce 8800GTX 768MBHDD 160G seagate ST31060815AS ATA dEviceWhat happens is the FSX runs great for a while then it starts of taking for ever to load textures when it first starts, then its performance gets slower until it locks up or the entire screen goes totally daft and unveiwable. If I do a reinstall its fine for a while then goes silly again after about a week. I do regular defrags (using defraggler)I had a look around the forums but you guys use a lot of big words and I managed to get myself completly confused with all the overclockings an such.Any help, hopefully in blonde friendly words will be greatfully appreciated.CheersDannielle "And when the band your in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon"

If things are not running right, start by locating FSX.cfgand renaming it to say: fsx.bak. When you then start up FSX again, it will rebuild this cfg file.Secondly, if you get Out of Memory errors, you should first try the /3GB switch in the Windows boot file. This gives FSX a bit more room to play with. Even with your 2 GB of installed memory this will help. You must be running FSX SP2 or Acceleration for this to work..Look here:http://forums.flightsim.com/fswiki/index.php/OOM_ErrorHer are the specific instructions for Vista32>>>NOTE: The following applies only to Vista32 users:Right click on command prompt from Start > All Programs > Accessories and select "Run as administrator". Enter this:BCDEDIT /set increaseuserva 2560<<<<Lastly, your symptoms of ever worsening load times are not familiar to me... have you added scenery or such that might be misbehaving? Bert
