June 8, 201015 yr I'm now flying with 4 LCDs so I removed the center column from the main 2D panel bitmap and resized window01 to 1280 x 600 to more easily fit on my 4x3 17 inch 4th monitor. In all my tinkering I seem to have broken the ability to toggle the overhead panel "OFF" using the 'O' in the main panel switcher gauge (PMDG_737NG_Main!PanelSwitcher) -- it toggles 'On' fine, and all I have to do is right click and close overhead panel for it to go away, but I would still like to fix it if I can. I have several full Acronis backups from which I can replace the original gauge but I can't seem to find it -- not even with Windows search of the entire drive. (Probably in a .cab file.) Could someone please direct me to it's location in the FS9 folder? I know the standard response to this would be to reinstall the entire A/C to return it to it's original state, but this is the only problem I'm having and I would like to just try replacing the panel switcher gauge with the original from a backup before I go through a complete reinstall.Thank you, if you see fit to help.Best regards,Charles Boulais Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. June 9, 201015 yr I actually use hot keys assignable by the PMDG keyboard utility. Open FS and then load a PMDG aircraft. Hit alt to bring up the FS menu bar. There should be a PMDG in there. Click on that and you'll get the keyboard assignment in the dropdown list fopr you to select. Scroll through the functions and you can assign the hot-keys if not already there. I have the hotkeys assigned to match the icons for the dropdowns. If they are already assigned as default you can use m (it is lower case although it shows M on the assignment display) or other non-toggling panel such as z for the primary instrument panel. f (fmc) and r (radio) are toggling panels that will pop up over non-toggling panels. As an aside do not use a SHIFT-number combo to bring up panel windows. Some will not function correctly and refuse to update. I found that out by experience.
June 9, 201015 yr Author Nice idea, Ron, but I tried that and it didn't work. The default command is tab-u, and although it did bring up the overhead, as with the panel switcher gauge, the command didn't close it. I had to right click close window to get it to close.Any other suggestions from anyone? Thanks. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. June 9, 201015 yr Make sure that any assignment you make in the pmdg keycommands method are not also assigned in the FS controls keyboard assignments. I've never had a problem assigning the panel switcher to keys. Dan Downs KCRP
June 10, 201015 yr The hot keys for Overhead, Zoom, and Main are not toggles. For those windows you hit the key of the panel view you wish to return to and close the present full panel view. Just clarifying.
