Gentlemen, pleading for some help. I've tried contacting EzDok support but no reply whatsoever.. great support for a product I paid for. Anyway...Ever since I reinstalled Ezdok camera on my x64 system it simply hasn't worked. I've installed the update that came with it, which supports TrackIREverything looks like it installed correctly, I see the Ezdok menu in the addons, all the aircrafts have a new entry under aircraft.cfg, and I'm able to use the Ezdok configuration tool to configure all aircrafts. However, no movement whatsoever. Even when opening the dialog in game, and enabling all effects "RND, DHM, and CR", nothing. I've uninstalled, and reinstalled, same thing. I took off trackir support alltogether, still nothing. I deleted fsrecorder to make sure there was no conflicts, nothing. It simply doesn't work. Any ideas?

Odd... Just a few things to check:- Can you see in the Studio that there is a connection with FSX? - What happens when you press Numpad3? - Did you do something with Simconnect (EZdok works through Simconnect)? (Maybe you repaired FSX and an older version is installed?)- Does TrackIR on its own work? - What happens when you create a new view (does the view in FSX change or not)?

When creating a new view with the EzDok Studio, it doesn't do anything. When clicking on the different views, the view in FSX doesn't change.

I noticed something else, when navigating to my C: Drive, I noticed these files which seems to be misplaced by the installer?The files are: "B763_.ini""BE58_.ini""F18E_.ini""J3_.ini""MD11_.ini""trike_.ini"They definitely seem to be Ezdok files

If you've uninstalled EzDok Camera, you CANNOT use the EzDok installation files to re-install!You MUST use the flight-one software downloaded installer for ezdok camera, and use the re-install feature where you have to enter once again your order details, key, etc. It now works like it used to. What a PITA, I hope i saved other people some time.

Yes I agree - a PITA, but you're doing Marniftarr a great disservice when you say "no developer support", my friend. .That man has persevered for a long, long time to get this product out to the FS world, with little going for him other than a dream that he can invent, develop, sell and support a product that will do what EZCA does. He has overcome a language barrier, has overcome a marketing barrier, and he's single-handedly supporting his product pretty much on his own. I don't know when this guy sleeps, or even if he stops to eat. He fixes most issues immediately, will often go one-on-one and is always looking and listening for ways in which to improve the product. If he missed your post, there was probably a good reason for it, and we may never know: it's all too easy to make a wrong judgement, only to find out later that someone's mother/wife/father/son is sick in hospital and simply cannot be attending the forum 24 hours a day. There are not many complaints about Marniftarr, and most folks are lavishing kudos on him for his contribution to this hobby.Regards,

Paul, What you say is true, but how is a typical user supposed to know that? I didn't read his biography when i purchased the software. My original complaint about support is valid in my case, and probably only in my case. In my book at least, when you purchase software, particularly a $40 camera utility, I expect some support when there's a problem with it, regardless of the history of the creator in question. I don't think thats too much to ask for. I'll also mention that support is also down at simforums.com, getting a 503 error when trying register. Very frustrating. In any case, it's a great piece of software which is what lead me on such a long road to fix

Thats Flight1's anti-piracy technique. Ran into that problem with the Dreamfleet Dakota from Dreamfleet. They use the same wrapper setup.

A strange thread.There's some commercial member complaining about bad support because he ran into a problem which was already solved before it started.Owning quite some Flight1 titles I can tell of the very famous and always repeated instruction to reinstall your stuff by using the Flight1 installer. They even describe this special installer with the symbol showing up in the Windows Explorer (which is a red plane). They also add that the AV and other protective stuff should be temporarily disabled and that admin rights are needed then.The thing gets even better with stating

which is exactly what the Flight1 people and all devs related to their installer will advise you to do when reinstalling: use the Flight1 installer!I've just jumped on this older topic because the new user now even thanks that complaining other dev for the "solution".Yes, I'm playing a bit smart here, gentlemen, but do you ever read things posted on the website where you bought your product? Ever watched some FAQ or at least the topmost threads in the dev's forums before complaining about "bad support"?The fact that one commercial guy complained about the other while clearly showing that he wasn't able to just do this casts a damning light on .. well.So the current "support request sequence" 1) start a rant 2) post it here and there 3) finally, find out the solution which was actually known well before 4) promote the "new" thing has some potential to be improved. (especially when being commercial yourself)Now I don't know how timely or nor timely the email answer was expected, but from the sheer description and emotion in the text above, I'd say that it maybe was rather short. And, more than a standard "please follow the information given about reinstalling Flight1 software" would have been a fabulous support in my eyes.Just trying to state some fair viewpoint here which might offend the guys using the steps 1,2,3,4 from above. Dump. All other Software from Flight1 installed perfect without the wrapper besides "EzDok" and I'm own a lot of Flight1. greetzuh - and yes - i bought that software. i'm to install three dozen software for FSX - could not read just anything "ReadMe" to make a quick install.
