  1. That is quite an interesting catch. Thanks! Pavel is the developer behind AMSIM, basically confirms the fake account belongs to these guys. I will record that information for legal reasons and advise the appropriate people.
  2. I am not aware, or have any reason to suspect that Amsim is involved in the piracy scheme that BMW is involved in.
  3. The email address publicly listed on that website matches exactly the email address on file for the accounts involved in sharing our products with piracy websites. I’m sure the same emails FSDT and Contrail have discovered as well. Just a word of advice to BMW. If you want to engage in criminal behavior, don’t use your main work email and distribute pirated work with your encrypted account info.
  4. I've left those for the much anticipated Flightbeam Gen-6 Jetways, which have much more than just gate numbers on top. Those were not meant to be rushed and are tuned to have full interiors for AI passengers, etc, details will come next month.
  5. I am allowed to defend my products in the thread dedicated to our product. There is absolutely nothing kindergarten like in my post.
  6. Hello Alexey, We already fixed the elevation in the newest patch, still unreleased. We also added new features not yet announced. No offense.. but maybe post your BMW updates in the BMW SFO post? Or if you want to give us feedback directly, just email anytime: [email protected] ... though judging from your anti-Flightbeam post history, that is quite unlikely.
  7. Hi Peter, You are clearly a dev from BMW since your burner account is fully dedicated to putting our brand down with cherry picked, ridiculous screenshots (we’ve got those too). No, not going to shame you now.. I actually want to thank BMW Amsim, since you released SFO you generated a TON of traffic to our site and have introduced many new simmers to our brand. Our SFO release has been the best selling product ever, in our 14 year existence. So keep up the good work, I’ll let you know our next airport by PM so we can do this again 😂 btw, how are those “under construction” interiors coming?
  8. We already have the tech for it (NZAA custom taxiway lighting). The problem is since Asobo added DLSS it causes massive flickering to custom taxiway lights.. hence we're forced to use the default ones for now.
  9. Cherry picking. Yes, they have black backgrounds, we were there. https://www.mediafire.com/view/4dh6x0ttcxb9zb2/Screenshot_2024-06-18_165419.png/file They get painted black again every once in a while. The difference is Flightbeam continues to support and update our products. There are many missing items from the BM Scenery, but it's ok, we're held up to a higher standard. If you want a savage comparison, we can cherry pick too: https://www.flightbeam.net/compare
  10. Hi there!. Yea I definitely overshot deadlines for SFO. There are many reasons, a few personal, a few surprises.. but I've gotten used to complaints about development time. I've been in business for 14 years now, nothing has really changed. I remember complaints back in 2013 about how long KDEN for FSX was taking. The same folks who complain about how long it's taking, also come back with huge praise about the quality and performance, it goes hand in hand. The big difference is I'm a single dev in this company. It will take time. Unlike some other devs who need to distribute many paychecks.. only one needed here. So those other devs need to pump out many products a year to be sustainable.. and that is totally fine, but my business model as a *single* developer is very different. I can survive on releasing 1 product every 4 years and still do great. (Obviously not going to do that to my customers 😂) With that said.. it seems like some people insinuate that I'm just sitting on the product, not releasing it. That gives me a good chuckle every time. It's SFO developing day in, day out, from morning to evening, week after week, month after month. Nothing is going to change, the Flightbeam brand has been very strong since inception. I focus on immersive, realistic visuals with hand crafted (literally) textures and models. Some folks want something simpler.. and nothing wrong with that! What you'll get from KSFO: Captains Edition is a complete, top to bottom SFO experience, where you'll feel like you're at the actual airport, after having spent many days there absorbing the details as a passenger and developer. I won't comment on the many inaccuracies I see with the other one.. I'll let our customers decide for themselves once released. Speaking of.. we're just entering beta next week. Anyway.. as I put it on our FB Social media.. I think competition is great. This benefits the customers the most.. so I'm not sure why there's so much toxicity and vilification. Like.. yikes.. some of you need to get some sunshine 😆 (no offense)... just remember some of you are arguing over mods in a flight simulator.
  11. It's coming. Understandable that lots of assumptions are made since there's little info, and I apologize for that. This is by design due to competition. Also, I've stopped pumping out previews due to whiners a few months back complaining that the shots "looked finished" and the product should've been released. Literally every pre-release screenshot I've posted dating 10 years back "looks finished", that doesn't mean the product is finished. FYI, SFO only went into full production earlier this year, April 2023. There was some side work being done on it from some contractors before that, but nothing serious. It hasn't been in production for years, despite some claims. This KSFO version is nearly a complete re-build.. yes, that takes time with the quality level that is about to be delivered. It will release this year. KMSP is in pre-production and will take a fraction of that time since all the assets are already complete, and it's NOT a re-build like KSFO.
  12. Hey guys! So I've received some interesting messages recently and been seeing some head-scratching comments 😄 Let's clear the air: Congrats to BMWorld and AMSim for their release! No.. I am not "mad" or displeased. It's a free market, any developer can create whatever they want. The notion that we "planted" our flag at KPHX is completely laughable. The reason KPHX even got on our roadmap is by customer demand. So I put it on the roadmap - it's really quite that simple. It was never reserved, or expected to be held up by Flightbeam. These guys have released it first, so now all the folks that wanted PHX badly can now enjoy it, this is great! It's also truly sad seeing some toxic comments like that mention customer have "lost my business". Flightbeam has been serving the FS Community since 2010, and I make sure every product is kept up to date by providing free updates since the inception of this business. It's already quite well known that I don't rush products. Every single product takes a long time, because I put a lot of care and detail into it. So yes, things are going to take time, that is the reality of high quality products. Other developers have 100% right to work on our roadmap airports in the meantime. It's not going to change much for me, they're still going to be released with the expected Flightbeam level of quality, performance and updates. The same thing goes for other devs, we will be working on airports you may have already released. In the meantime, thumbs up to BMWorld for the great rendition of PHX! You should purchase and support this, and any other developer you want if you enjoy this hobby. It keeps the addon market going strong.
  13. This is pretty accurate. At the present state nothing... and I mean nothing will work in a 64bit sim. It would require a lengthy amount of time adjusting to a new SDK, possibly redoing all material properties and re-exporting and re-compiling everything. It's really up to the sim's developer to give the developers an early look and access to get a head start.
  14. Hi folks, sorry to hear people running into this issue. FSDT had updated the Addon Manager a few days ago and something was wrong with their files. The issue has now been resolved, simply install the Standalone Addon Manager and you're set. http://www.fsdreamte...-manager-setupx For further support on this please visit FSDT support (we don't handle the addon manager). Hope this helps!

  16. It's really perplexing on why we see posts like this every once in a while, when I've created a very large support resource right on our website. OP, why not just email us? Responses in less than 24 hours (typically), and instead of other folks guessing, we tell you exactly what is wrong and how to promptly fix it. The issue you posted is extremely common and you can see a solution in our FAQ to fix it after only 2 clicks after entering our website. Directly from the general FAQ: It's a process that takes less than a minute. If you have given up, then you haven't reached out to us for support. We solve every issue promptly to get you up and running. We even come here on AVSIM, and other sites to solve issues posted by others who, for odd reasons, haven't reached out to us. These words are very discouraging...
  17. We often get support emails relating to missing buildings with the user swearing they've already switched off antivirus, however in almost every single case there's something missed, such as: - Some users unknowingly have multiple security programs installed - Many forget Windows comes with Windows Defender, which also blocks our installation - Some customers turn off antivirus during install, then turn it back on when they start FSX. You have to exclude the files as seen in our FAQ: http://flightbeam.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2130 - Some users accidentally click NO when FSX/P3D asks you to trust Addon Manager during startup - A few folks, for some reason, don't have the proper Windows privileges. Running the installer as Administrator fixes that. - If all else fails, check your DLL.XML and EXE.XML to see if the Addon Manager and Couatl entries are there and trusted. - Lastly, since day 1 we've been in this business I can confidently say that 99.9% of ALL cases relating to missing buildings is caused by security software. So please double check your security software and follow the FAQ on excluding files before emailing. Hope this helps.
  18. If you own ImagineSim's KSJC product, you will have no traffic at KSFO regardless due to a bug in their AFCAD file.
  19. I'm also very curious to your settings, could you please share them? We've tested KSFOHD extensively in P3D v3 many weeks before release. Even with every slider at it's max setting and several add ons running, no OOM was every recorded in v3.
  20. The very large majority of the community are very courteous. There's always a small, extremely vocal minority who seem to ruin the fun and passion for flight sim. I think some people forget that behind every username, handle and image is an actual human being. Cheers,
  21. When you get a moment I'd love any tips on how you convinced your significant other. Congrats!
  22. It won't be on sale for a while, until at least New Years. Hope this helps!
  23. I think it will be out much much sooner than you think. There would have to be a complete catastrophe if it wasn't released before the end of this August, at the very latest. Much sooner than that, most likely. Hi Gregg, I don't know the specifics of the issue you encountered, but it may related to a bug caused by Active Sky Next which has corrupted the dll.xml files. If you're getting multiple errors on installation, check out this link which contains the fix: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/467103-fsdt-addon-manager-telling-me-my-xmls-are-corrupt/?p=3224219 If not, just shoot us an email when you're back.
  24. Hello Gregg, Why don't you just email us at support? We solve every issue promptly. Sometimes users run into an issue and believe it's catastrophic, and spend days messing with files thinking the product is broken. The reality is, it's always a simple fix that takes less than a minute if you send us an email.
  25. The Imaginesim KSJC unfortunately turns off all traffic at KSFO. Removing KSJC will solve the issue.
