I have done what Microsoft suggested, which mean to fix the registy entries, but it didnt work.I tried to uninstall FS9 and install it again. It still give me the error.I have Windows 7 64 bit.Need help!

Just a few ideas:Check your Flight Simulator 9 folder and see if there is a folder named BACKUP (yes in all caps). If you find it, delete it as it was left over from your un-install and the update will not proceed if it is still there.Be sure you run the fs91upd.exe file from your Flight Simulator 9 folder - rather than from a temp folder elsewhere (that is the MS recommendation) - and if running Win 7, Right click on that exe file and under the Compatibility tab, set it to run "as adminstrator".Hopefully that will get you back on track.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I tried everything and it still gives me that error. I'm trying to install it on a new fresh FS9 installation. And the its a big absurd because I managed to install it, but after I deleted the update by mistake, it wont work .

I solved the problem. I uninstalled FS9 and I installed it in a folder outside Program Files.
