June 25, 201015 yr When the aircraft are about to taxi for departure they just disapear, like they were never at the airport and I am left with an airport of aeroplanes disapearing into thin air. Has anyone got any idea what is wrong with this :'(much appriciated Planenutter

If you have on UT2 will remove traffic in 10% increments at a time till you are able to hit your target frame rate. The lowest it will go is down to 10%. Sounds like you have that option on to me. Why not post on the UT2 forum? Jim Wenham
June 27, 201015 yr I believe the guys at Flight1 should give you a clear view. If you have a conflict with previously installed AI packages such as Traffic X, maybe that should have caused the problem. What else happens? What happened to the default traffic? June 27, 201015 yr Commercial Member I just reinstalled UT2 and had all my sliders set to 100%. At Juneau AK, PANC, I had 1 LearJet at the entire airport. So I hit ctrl+shift+F12 (increase traffic) about 20 times and went away for a bit. When I got back there seemed to be 1 GA plane for each time I hit ctrl+shift+F12. No commercial planes however. They must be controlled solely by the published schedule.JJA Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist

Unfortunately, for the most part, that means not much traffic on the ramp either. Hopefully they add a way to tweak this in the future. Dave Creed
June 27, 201015 yr Yes it is true that traffic goes by a real world schedule. The AI at the gate is only traffic that will be departing within the next 20 or so minutes, as well as AI scheduled to arrive in that time frame. As AI depart then new AI pop in as needed 20 or so min before departure time. Some people dont like this way of handling AI but it was done that way for performance reasons. Another VERY VERY important thing is to make sure the AFCAD for your airports you fly have good parking code in them. A good example is CYVR, the default AFCAD only has 1 heavy gate parking assignment. In reality there are many more than 1 heavy there. SO with the default AFCAD even though there should be 4 or 5 or more heavies you would only see 1 and if you were parked in that spot, right after you push back it would most likely be populated with a scheduled heavy to depart. Replace CYVR with a replacement and all of the sudden you have sometimes doubled you traffic at the gates. I went to PANC and with my Ray Smith replacement AFCAD and 100% Commercial (weekly in UT2) I saw around 8 AI at the gates which included a couple Alaska Air and a few Korean Air and I cant remember what the others were. I even saw the Korean Air 747 land when looking around. I dont use any GA traffic as I mostly fly big jets. When I have played with the GA traffic using the GA update schedule and a setting of 60% or higher I see at a few select airports 20 or more GA on the ground. Post your UT2 settings and I will see if I see anything wrong.Jim Jim Wenham

I just don't like arriving to an empty airport. Anyway, I had the traffic sliders in FSX set to 80 (100 in UTII) and after moving them to 100, when I arrived at KAVX, every parking space was filled so I knocked them back to 85%.I also like being able to set the contrail length, toggle traffic on off, and the increase / decrease traffic hot keys. The default traffic must still be in play because I hear 'LANDMARK' ATC calls all the time.jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
