June 28, 201015 yr Randomly out of nowhere I will be on a flight, and suddenly I can't click any buttons at all, yet the flight will go on, I can hit esc, and bring up those buttons, but as far as actually pressing anything, and getting anything to happen, it wont work. Has anyone had this issue before, and what caused it?

Has anyone had this issue before, and what caused it?I think you maybe accidently selecting "mouse yoke" during flightI used to do it a lot by accident, you can turn it off or on by right clicking the screen and selecting "mouse yoke".I used to hit it by accident when trying to select "hide menu bar". I have since learnt that holding ALT will hide the menu bar. When "mouse yoke" is on the cursor turns into a cross and you can not select any buttons but escape will work as you described. June 28, 201015 yr It'd be nice if I actually had a problem someone knew how to fixI've seen this too, on some addons. In most cases Ctrl-Space Which will reset the view, will fix this temporarily. It could come back, if it does, just repeat.I haven't seen a permanent fix for it, but at least you'll be able to complete the flight. The addon that it happens the most to me is the Overland A380, after a few hours of flight. I've also seen it on the PMDG 744X with the FMC in the VC, usually on the Pilots side. That I think though, may be a different problem, as other controls are ok in the same view. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
June 29, 201015 yr yes ofcourse ...there are no posts i have seen so far in any forums focussing on this issue ..however i think from our discussion we can find out that this a problem with fsx and addons , if u fly default a/c with no running addons, you wont face this problem .....i feel it has definately got something to do with ur uiautomationcore.dll or affinity mask.(wild guess).Make sure you have vista 32bit uiautomationcore.dll downloaded from the internet and saved in your fsx folder . (This is when you have 64bit Win 7)c:\program files\microsoft games\flight simulator x\uiautomationcore.dll--or--d:\program files\microsoft games\flight simulator x\uiautomationcore.dllor whatever location u have fs in .Then register this dll by clicking on start->run->type regsvr32 "your uiautomationcore.dll path" and then press ok ....then check and update.Thanks.... June 29, 201015 yr I actually think it's caused by the distance the camera is to the panel. Some addons are more sensitive then others. Especially those made for FS9. If you move a little closer, you tend to regain focus of the gauges. I think it's caused buy FSX's gradual movement from it's momentum effect pushing the camera position away gradually. That is why a reset fixes it. Try ad move a little closer when this happens. Note, when I say closer I don't mean zoom in, but actually moving the camera position with the CTRL/SHIFT-Enter/Backspace combinations. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
