Strange 737pic behaviour

Featured Replies

Hi,this probably isn't a fs2crew issue, but maybe someone here has some help to offer.I load the fellthere 737 pic and place it in LFPG (Paris). Engines are off, I do not push any buttons or change the view. My framerate (SHIFT Z twice) shows 40-45..I leave my pc and come back an hour later. The framerate now is 13-20.I start the engines. The frame rate is now 5-7.I press Q to turn engine sound off. The frame rate is now 13-20 again. What on earth is happening here? How come the framerate is dropping by itself over an hour? and how come engine sound lmakes the framerate drop even further? the 5-7 framerate is unplayable. 13-20 could work but isn't good.I have tried to load the Microsoft 737 instead and the above does not seem to happen.(I have only tried once and its not easy to generalize from one try).Any suggestions for what I could try?I am running FSX SP1+Acceleration on a win7 64bit 8 gig memory. Intel Core i7-860 2.86GHz. Helge

Hello Helge,Did you install SP1 for FS2Crew 737? It's available on the FS2Crew website Downloads page.Cheers,

I have now uninstalled everything and only installed FSX, Acceleration, the 737pic and the js41.No fs2crew yet and I haven't made any modifications to the fsx.cfg.In the 737 the frame rate drops over time, in the js it doesn't!So it is not a fs2crew issue, but what can cause this?Helge

Issue solved. The cause was that I was running FSX in "XP SP3 Compatibility mode". I turned that off, and the frame rate no longer drops. Back to enjoying FS2CREW in the pic:-)
