October 25, 201015 yr Hi Andy and Axel - Now I really feel like I am butting in, neither of you replied to my post above.I have read the thread and it seems like old nVidia drivers are being used combined with nHancer. Have either of you tried the newest drivers combined with nVidia Inspector?I cannot tell exactly what kind of systems you have unless I read through the entire thread once again (setup could be listed in your sig for best help\results) but it seems that you are using a non 64 bit OS and are running on non Vista or Win7 systems. You won't get much out of FSX unless you install the latest DirectX version which has everything from DX11 down - No need to worry about DX11 drivers becasue FSX is not set to run those but it will improve how FSX runs. Also when installing new drivers how are you performing the function? Do you download and install over the new drivers? If you are interested I can provide a link on how to set nVidia Inspecor up and it only takes a couple of minutes. Are we just talking FSX here? I was referring to FS9. I am running on W7 64bit and Nvidia Inspector. @ Axel - My issue is that I am getting a lot of stuttering but with high FPS. For example when I am in outside view and pan the view around 360 degrees it doesn't do it smoothly, it skips and jumps and stutters/lags. Andy S

Andy SHi Andy - Yes I was talking about FSX, seemed to have missed that part. FS9 should run extremely well with the hardware you have... here is a post by Nick_N over at SimForums he has nVidia inspector settings that you can try. In FS9 setting ensure you set your Filtering to Triliner and deselect AA.What about your FS9.CFG have you ever deleted it and let it rebuild? After making any changes ie. new addon, driver etc. I delete the .CFG and let the sim rebuild on start-up. \Robert Hamlich/
October 26, 201015 yr I'm absolutely sure that this problem (I have this problem as well), is NOT related to software or settings and drivers or wrong installation of OS and programs. I think it comes from the hardware or hardware combination that is used.I did not experience this issue two years ago with my old computer and since then I have changed CPU, RAM and GPU and now everthing but 60 FPS seems stuttering and just like other people are describing in this thread. For example if I compare locked to 60 and then 40 FPS I see a huge difference. I think the problem is caused by vertical sync not working properly in games like FS with some hardware combinations. If I lock to 30 FSP and TURN OFF vertical sync the stuttering is gone but then I get a lot of tearing instead.I have reinstalled my OS almost ten times since I first got this problem, I think. I have tried many different settings and different drivers but nothing seems to solve the issue. I have also tried with a clean installation of Win7 and only all necessary drivers installed , but still the same problem in FS9.

After making any changes ie. new addon, driver etc. I delete the .CFG and let the sim rebuild on start-up.The strange thing is I am getting very good FPS (sometimes over 100 even with PMDG 747) but stuttering so it's not to do with lack of system power/spec. I have read that post by Nick_N and have my settings as per his instructions. I have also deleted the FS9.cfg Neither of these have made any difference. I am beginning to agree with Hardell that it might be some fundamental issue with the GTX460 and the other parts of my system not working together. When I had my old ATI 4870 I got worse FSP (though not loads worse) but NO stuttering at all. Andy S
