No click sounds on takeoff

Featured Replies

When I advance the throttles to say 75% I do not hear any click sounds. Is there a setting for this? I have already pressed Autoflight, Nav and Prof before starting.YhanksKen Fairbanks

Do you see TO CLAMP message? If not, and you have ATS armed then maybe something is missing from preflight..EDIT: You had a duplicate post?

Sorry about the duplicate post. I was a bit hasty there.Yes I do see the messages TO CLAMP and TO Thrust and I have the ATS armed it is just that I don't hear the clicks at the appropriate times. I don't hear them at all.It is not a big deal as I take off just fine. Thanks for your prompt replyKen Fairbanks

At last I hear the sounds. Must have been drowned out by the background noise. I have now reduced the Sounds vol in Options to under Medium. The click sounds are very faint. Thanks to all for your replies. Much appreciated.Ken Fairbanks

Ken,are you sure all your sound settings are correct? Also those within Windows? Yes that very sound is quiet on the real aircraft too, but you should be able to hear it anyway with all default sound settings. The volume related to the other sounds is perfect on my system, my sound sliders are all at default settings.Could it be that your speaker settings within windows do not correspond to the actual speaker setup you have? Or did you increase the engine sounds in the FS9/X sound settings?Regards,Markus
