July 10, 201015 yr I'm already a subscriber to nDAC for charts, but haven't got to grips with how to update the waypoint/navdata etc, especially where JS41 is concerned. Are there not two sets of data in operation here: one for FSX and another just for JS41?Can anyone advise this relative newbie (medium-tech, certainly not high-tech :( )? Anything which maximises availability of SID/STAR procedures for the FMS would be great too. A related point: what's the best app for offline flight planning for JS41? The manual mentions FSNavigator, but FSN no longer seems to be a live project. Many thanks for any assistance! Best wishes,David Abrahams David Abrahams
July 10, 201015 yr Download the FMS data from Navigraph, which is an installer inside a zip. Run the installer, select either FS9 or FSX and it should automatically update all your navdata. Run twice if you have FS9 and FSX. All pmdg aircraft (except B1900) share the same navdata. You can add customized terminal procedures, but generally these sidstars still require the navigraph navdata be of the same cycle. Current cycle is 1007.Try my US Collection of sidstars in the avsim library file name 'cycle_1007_sidstars.zip' which includes 66 locations and all arrivals are routed to all ILS approaches so you don't have to be using an ATC for vectors. Same for departures, all runways connect to all transitions. The original 'as-published' variants are included too if you do use an ATC.JS41 flights are so short I usually look at the charts and plan it myself, or you can look at flightaware.com for US flights and see what the turboprops are flying. Someone posted a thread with actual JS41 flightplans not long after release, you might be able to find that with an advanced search. Dan Downs KCRP

July 12, 201015 yr Commercial Member As far as flightplanning, check out Ernie Alston's FSBuild 2. Otherwise, I'd just make use of websites like flightaware, skyvector, simroutes, routefinder and so on to obtain routing.
