July 11, 201015 yr I have purchased a new computer. My old computer was running Windows XP (32 bit). My new computer has Windows 7, 64 bit. I have FSX with sp2. My video card is GTS 250, the processor is I7-930. When I select the C400, it hangs FSX. The Windows "blue circle" continues to rotate round and round. I notice the Garmin GNS 430 display panel remains blank. I have to select the Task Manager to stop FSX.I have reinstalled about 3 times with same results. I have several other complex aircraft loaded and working OK. Just the C400 is a problem. Has anyone else have this working with Windows 7, 64 bit? Any ideas? Thanks, jim

July 11, 201015 yr Where did you install FSX ?Most simmers now agree that it should NOT be installed under the default Program Files path but rather to a new folder outside of Program Files - i.e. C:\FSGames (as an example). If your problem is "security" related, having the installation outside of Program Files will likely help.
July 11, 201015 yr Author Problem Solved. Thank you Ryanbatcund for suggesting turning off UAC. I set the slider from the default position to "never notify" and now the plane loads correctly! I would have though Microsoft would have given me a message that UAC was interfering with the C400. But instead, it just caused FSX to hang! Thanks again,Jim
