It would help if you defined "low cost" and specified the type of aircraft your are interested in--GA, heavies, etc. Checkout lionheartcreations.com; aerosoft.com. I'm enjoying a freeware Antonov AN-32 found right here in the avsim library.

Tim Piglet Conrad makes a lot of great freeware planes... I'm not sure if they're uploaded here - but a few are at www.flightsim.com and the main site is www.sim-outhouse.com - you'll have to register to get them. Well worth it!Cheaper quality planes, already mentioned:http://www.lionheartcreations.com/Carenado has a few cheaper models, like the C185 bushpack, and C172 on floatshttp://www.carenado.com/ecommerce/buscador.php3?categoria=19

Hauke Keitel has a nice Piper Arrow that you can use. Massimo Taccoli and Dennis Seely also has a Cessna Bird Dog that is payware quality.

I'd suggest having a browse through the products on somewhere like Simmarket or FS Pilot Store, and for freeware, a search in the Avsim library will turn up a lot of nice stuff. Depends on the kind of aircraft you like too of course, there does tend to be a larger number of freeware aircraft of the simpler type, since there is less work involved, although there are obviously some airliner exceptions to that such as Tin Mouse, I-Fly and Project Tupolev amongst others.Al
