fps and 2th dvi

Featured Replies

at busy airports i can have 15-20 fps. if i put the scale on unlimited, i have between 25-200 fps but then i gotstutters in the past.to solve this problem i found -frame rate limiter 0.2-i put the scale to unlimited have higher framerates but it would be blocked to 30 fpsso no stutters and still higher framerates.so far so good. now i decide to have besides the tripple for 3 monitors and driven by gtx285, to buy an extra screen for the 737 overhead panel and used the 2 dvi.well what happens now is the framerates are still between the 15-20 but if i use the fps limiter tool then the frame rates are cut into half.so my question is, could the problem be solved if i buy an extra grafic card/pci for the second dvi. a last question i found out that i put the framerates now at unlimited, i have no stuttersanymore but is it BAD for the machine or scenery with fluctuations from 15-200 fps!the reason of no stutters is probebly due to the fact I run with photoscenery and with the slider for trees and building to zero.

It's not bad for the machine to have variations in FPS as long as your temps are ok. Not sure if a second GPU would help.

I think having a second GPU is very convenient. When not using all monitors for scenery display I use the spares ones for 2D-panels or dispatching/planning/charts etc...RV

Try doubling the limit you set in the external limiters batch file (if it was 30 set it to use 60) its well know that the limiter does double cuts on multimonitor systems which might be why your only seeing 15fps instead of 30its seems that the limiter is just seeing you triple setup (thto?) as 1 big monitor and your 4th as an added 2nd give it a try and let us know how you get on LatersGizmo
